The restaurant has a good selection of food to choose from and an even bigger range of drinks. The service was a little slow and although the food was good it was a little expensive however, this would be a good place to go for a family meal or special occasion.

We had to collect my mother from the airport on Saturday at lunchtime. This is slap bang right in the middle of park weekend traffic. Boy was it bad... Not wanting to travel back in that traffic gridlock we decided to grab a bite to eat at a local gastro pub. This is somewhere where I had seen on my... More

Table booked for 6pm (4 weeks ago) - had to wait until 6.20pm to sit and then not given a menu for another 10 minutes - service was very slow and very poor - nobody came to the table to ask if more drinks were needed or ask if he food was ok - the food was average but wished... More

The Dukes Head is a food pub on a very large scale. The service is superbly well organised and the food is excellent and well priced (and it's owned by Mitchells and Butler who definitely know their business). There are very few days when its not busy so booking is a must if you're not a gambler and for popular... More

Dropped into the Dukes head on Mothering Sunday with no table booked, was told we could have a table for 2 in 6 minutes, The set menu had a large selection, the Sunday roast came up over flowing the plate, all items hot, the 3 courses was so filling my wife could not eat a pudding and was given a... Great atmosphere & good music! Service was a bit hit & miss. So was the main meal. A real shame as the atmosphere & deco was great. Think neck time we'll stick with drinks & bar nibbles

I do like the Dukes Head, it's the one place locally that really has the ambience & setting spot on. Modern chic & attracts the trendy crowd ... that's why it's such a shame that the food quality is so poor. I've been many times now & each time have been disappointed with the food. It all sounds wonderful on... More

Having looked about at different places to go for a Sunday Roast I am very glad that we chose The Dukes Head in Crawley Down. I find most vegetarian Sunday roasts contain cheese for some reason but The Dukes Head was different with a brilliant nut roast on the menu. I would highly recommend this to anyone, including meat eaters.... More

The Dukes head has been one of our favourites since we accidentally came across it 5 years ago. The service is great and a warm welcome guaranteed. We come back again and again for the delicious cooking. Every dish is carefully finished and so you get a feast for the eyes even before you have tried a bite. The chefs... More

We find this restaurant very good to pop into when we are going abroad or visiting nearby. As we cannot anticipate our arrival time,so far we have been lucky but would suggest booking. Brilliant for gluten free meals.
