Service was great! Food was awesome! Prices were decent. Loved it! We had some of the nightly specials (veal, sea bass, scallops) and also chicken piccata on the menu. Everyone loved their choices the turtle cheesecake was perfect. This is ok the let's-go-again list.

3 couples dined here mid-week and enjoyed it very much. Service was excellent although the restaurant was full, and the food was very good. Cafe Napoli features meat and seafood specials that the waiter brings out to show you before you order. The guys chose the bone-in filet and veal chop off the special selection and both were fabulous--one of... More

This restaurant has been serving wonderful Italian dishes for over 20 years. The service is great. Good place to see and be seen also. In a city filled with hight quality Italian restaurants, this place has always been a standout.

I'm a fan of places like this. It thinks it's fancy and so it is indeed a little fancy. Locals think it's fancy - so it all feeds on itself and becomes an upscale Clayton destination, and in the summer folks like to get out of nice cars in front of diners on the patio. It's expensive so it attracts... More

When we want a good meal we always head to Napoli. They never fail!!! The salad is delicious and the chicken parmesan is the best I have ever had. The bar scene is always entertaining, especially on a summer night.

Simply said, pure perfection! Our waiter, Josh, plus the staff that helps him, were a well-trained piece of work. Honestly, it reminded me of 'Hello Dolly' during the dinner scene! We went there to celebrate my 61st birthday! Starting with the Valet - from start to end - it was a perfect night! The drinks & food were fantastic! Started... More

Café Napoli has become a "must do" on our annual Christmas trek from Maryland to St. Louis. Tripadvisor reminded and showed me my previous review of a year ago, and I don't have much to add to that. Based on last minute plans, we could only secure a 5:30 booking for us and our friends, but were not treated as... More

Had the opportunity to visit for a business dinner. The service and food were both excellent (I had the cowboy rib eye). Everyone in the party seemed to enjoy their food. The location is a bit challenging in that the valet area is tiny. The building itself is a bit unusual and finding the front door can be a challenge... More

I went to Cafe Napoli a couple of times in a week, for lunch and dinner. The food is good, although the risotto serving was a little small. Good linguine.

We had a family party of 9 in one of their private dining rooms. The location, service and food were all top notch. Our waiter (JP) did a great job...he was there when we needed him but didn't hover over us. The food was top notch. Very nice family evening for the adults.

Description
When Tony Pietoso opened the original Cafe Napoli in the '80s, it quickly became a success. So Successful, in fact, that it moved to a bigger location at 7754 Forsyth Blvd. The restaurant continued to flourish with its generous portions of regional Italian specialties. Cafe Napoli has recently undergone a facelift and has added Bar Napoli next door. The swank cocktail lounge has soft lighting and a separate wine room that can accommodate 30 diners. The kitchen is headed by chef Jeff Davis, who has been with the restaurant for several years. Fortunato Pietoso, Tony's brother, has also returned to the kitchen. Tony makes rounds chatting with customers, many of whom appear to be on a first-name basis with him. The sons Ande and Kye split their time between the Bar and Cafe, as they are being groomed to take over the family business. Cafe Napoli is a must visit when in the St. Louis area. Some guests include Tony Bennett, Gloria Estefen, Joe Torre and Arnold Palmer to name a few.
