Since I moved to Missouri I have tried lunches and dinners at the most incredible locations. Most often at grocery stores (say what!), but this one surprised the heck out of my husband and I; the eatery is inside a gas station! We initially thought that we would just get snacks, as there was a bad storm coming in and... More

We ordered 3 pork steak dinners and a brisket dinner. The brisket dinner was good, but the pork steaks were tough as shoe leather. They were dried out and tough. The dry rub was overpowering. I like a good dry rub, but this was too much. It was very spicy for pork steaks. Their baked beans were excellent. The coleslaw... More

Went to Lutzs barbecue and got turkey basket . It was quick and so good. They make home made chips that are so good . I had barbeque chips, my husband had pork steak and salted chips . The food is always fresh and hot. We love the sauce . The cole slaw, baked beans and everything is so good... More

We stopped at the Jefferson City location because I read great reviews. We walked in the restaurant and started reading the menu. There was a lady waiting for her to go order. I had asked her if she had eaten here before. She smiled and said yes. I asked her what she liked. She smiled and said, "Everything"! We ordered... More

So - thinking outside the box, a wonderful family had Lutz's bring in a roasted pig for a family reunion. It was spectacular - so keep this in mind if you are having an event where you want to make a big splash. Hubby and I headed down to Lutz's in Jeff City for some more about a week later.... More

The atmosphere is just a bit better than a fast food or convenience store, but the barbecue is delicious.

We stopped for lunch when we were out running errands. My mom had raved about the food-I had to admit I was skeptical-how good could a place be that was attached to a convenience store? Was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the shop and smelled the food.It was very crowded at lunch time/ usually a good sign, and it was... More

You know you are great when you have a BBQ Restaurant attached to a nice gas station and it is packed. Skip the sauce and enjoy the smoked meat. Amazing place. A bit of Southeastern Pork, great TX beef and KC Ribs.

Lutz's BBQ has become one of our families favorite restaurants in Jefferson City. Excellent BBQ with great sides like seasoned potato chips and tasty coleslaw.
