Excellent food, outstanding service, comfortable dining. Five-star dining for $13. Now can you beat that? I had the Santa Fe chicken salad. Absolutely excellent.

Called first, but Madison's wasn't taking reservations. We decided to drive in to Jeff City & give it a try anyway & we're glad we did. We started with a Mad Crab Stack appetizer & it's one I'll try making at home. It was a delicious stack of avocado, pico de gallo, crab, chopped red peppers, etc that was fully... More

This is one of the most popular restaurants in town and I am at a loss for why this is the case. We recently dined there and got the "special", which was Chicken Marsala. The chicken appeared to be a frozen breaded chicken cutlet that was deep fried and then slathered in a brown gravy. There were a couple of... More

The food was wonderful when we went here for some business trip. It is a little higher priced than most chain store steak houses but definitely elegant and worth it.

This was my most recent adventures. I had the Chicken Jalapeno Pasta, never had anything like it, one of a kind dish and delicious. The staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable of the area. Very happy to have found the local gem.

This is one of the best places for pasta! Ask for the garlic and olive oil for the bread or try the fish sandwich. It's all good! The service is top notch and atmosphere is excellent. You have to visit this place while in Jefferson City!

It was Friday night supper club and I had been requesting we go for several months. I had eaten here 7 years ago for lunch. Finally, I got my way and it did not disappoint. The house salad is the best. But the bread dipped in oil can't be beat. There were 4 of us and we all had something... More

Madison's has been a long standing favorite of my family's. Some of our favorites include the Chicken Parmisan and the Cavetelli. Great for a family meal or romantic dinner as well Nice wine list as well as a full bar. I would say it's average to slightly above average pricing, and we'll worth it. When the weather us nice they... More

Dining alone isn't much fun but with help of wonderful waitress I truly enjoyed dinner. She recommended a pasta dish with chicken asparagus and mushrooms and it was delicious. A small side salad and some nice bread rounded out the meal. My waitress recommended a small portion of the entree and it was still more than enough. The food was... More

Madisons was one of a few stops we made for a sporadic romantic birthday celebration for my bf of 10 years. The food was marvelous, in fact we had trouble deciding on an entree, so we ordered 3. The best prime rib I've ever eaten paired with a intimate setting and gracious service was quite perfect.

Description
Madison's Café, a ‘Jefferson City Tradition’ since 1982, offers casual, relaxed, yet elegant dining, with a focus on northern Italian, American and eclectic cuisine: mouthwatering appetizers, salads, soups, sandwiches, pasta, hand-cut steaks, seafood, and a variety of signature dishes. Our menu changes often, reflecting use of locally sourced products: from our daily, fresh, locally baked bread, locally bred and raised Wagyu burgers, produce, to herbs from our own herb garden. Our gluten-free fare, whole wheat pasta, and a wide variety of vegetarian fare pleases the most sensitive palate. Our environment is unique and inviting—a gathering place for family and friends, or perfect for that romantic evening out. We have two excellently appointed private dining rooms for any special event or business meeting. Off-site catering services are available from small intimate gatherings to over 300. Carry out is always available. Al fresco dining on our large patio is wonderful when weather permits! Come to Madison's where you restore your spirit and share the simple pleasures with family and friends…one delicious bite at a time Located in beautiful downtown, two and a half blocks from the Capitol; a half-block from the Governor's Mansion; five blocks from the historic Missouri State Penitentiary; three blocks from the Amtrak Station; about a 1/2 mile from the bridge bike/walk crossing to the Katy Trail, and directly across the street from the Madison Street parking garage.
