Food and service were perfectly fine. Sangria was very sweet and mostly ice cubes, kind of like kool aid. Nice enough atmosphere. Kind of expensive for mediocre despite such a high trip advisor rating.

this is a must go-to place to dine when we visit KC. the best tapas and amazing Sangria ever! the best value is to go late afternoon/early evening for happy hour. So many items are half price and you then you can try even more goodies.
Wonderful small plates. Truly small plates. Food was good and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. Desserts were killer!
Cozy restaurant, amazing, rich menu, great local beer, and a wide range choice of tapas: food is delicious, service very professional and warm ! Loved it, and highly recommend it.
We made reservations at La Bodega via Open Table for a Wednesday night because we had heard they had a chef's special deal on Wednesdays (and it was our anniversary, so why not?). Parking was easy to find in the lot next to the restaurant, and we were seated immediately when we walked in. The interior is nicely decorated, a... More
We have been here a few times now and overall I would say this is one of my favorite places to eat. I love the tapas idea; there is so much to choose from. I love the Spanish coffee! The service is consistently good. I might mention though, if you get a pitcher of sangria they have two kinds and... More
There were four people in our party, so we were able to sample quite a few of the tapas small plates. ALWAYS exceptional are the bacon-wrapped dates. The fried potatoes are also fabulous. The goat cheese on toast, smothered with tomato sauce is also amazing. I don't thing we had anything that we didn't polish off pretty quickly. We started... More
We took friends for an evening out to La Bodega and once again were not disappointed. It is so great to see that there is consistency in both food and service at this fine restaurant. We enjoyed a variety of tapas -- there is something that will appeal for everyone. Plus you don't have to order everything at once, try... More
We took our Spanish exchange student to enjoy some food he was missing from home. We went during happy hour and had a great time sharing tapas. Our server was excellent too. We can't wait to go back! It was well worth the hour drive to get there.
