I don't eat Steak or Prime Rib so I can't say much about the food here...but eating a perfect Creme Brulee while listening to some hot, live Jazz, was SUBLIME.

Superb service, excellent food, and live jazz... What's not to love? We ordered a KC Strip and a Bone in Filet. Out. Of. This. World.

Wonderful ambience, live piano. Ceaser salad was very good. Potato was cold inside, mussel appetizer was good. I can't believe they served the prime rib, twice. Sent it back as our requested medium rare was raw - literally. So fatty I couldn't get a full...More

We were looking for a local (to our hotel) jazz club, and found that not only was the music fantastic (Peter Schlamb, Ryan Lee, Dominic Sanders) but the food we had "upstairs" was exceptional, if a bit expensive. We had a wonderful evening and will...More

My wife and I decided to celebrate our anniversary with our college-aged children with a Sunday evening dinner. The Majestic is not inexpensive, so be prepared for the final bill. But, for an old-time Kansas City steak dinner, it is very hard to find any...More

Keep in mind the Sunday morning brunch crew may be different than steaks in the evening...I sent my eggs back to have them cooked as ordered and they couldn't get it right. It took about 30 extra minutes to get the second order. By then,...More

Being in Kansas City, we asked around for the best steak in town. My wife and I shared a 32 oz. Wagyu Porterhouse. Holy moly, what a wonderful cut of meat, although it should be for the price. We also ordered an extra baked potato...More

We enjoyed our meal at the Majestic. Reservations are recommended as it is a small space. Our waiter was fantastic with the right amount of help and leave us alone. His recommendations for meals were spot on. I enjoyed my bacon wrapped filet, while my...More

Description
The Majestic Restaurant carries on the Kansas City traditions of great food and great jazz. We serve brunch Saturday and Sunday, lunch Monday-Friday, and dinner seven nights a week. Featuring Kansas City's best dry-aged beef, chops, and seafood and located in the historic Fitzpatrick Saloon building at 10th and Broadway in downtown Kansas City, The Majestic Restaurant offers a true Kansas City dining experience like no other. Enjoy a great steak and fine wine in our main dining room alongside a grand bar dating back to 1910, or have dinner in our lower level jazz club, the site of an actual speakeasy during prohibition, all while listening to some of Kansas City's best jazz musicians seven nights a week. An extensive wine list, creative cocktails by nationally renowned bartender Shawn Moriarty, a list of over 100 whiskeys, and a sinful selection of delectable homemade desserts provide the perfect accompaniment to the meal and the music.
