Went there for dinner with 2 business partners while visiting KC from out of town. The decor and atmosphere were nice and classy for a BBQ place. Prices are a bit steep, but portions are very large and give good value for the price. Unfortunately the flavor and quality of the ribs I had were not nearly as good as... More

In all of my travels this is far and away the best barbecue restaurant that I have been to. The burnt ends are to die for and the creamy cheese corn is a great side. Had the combo tonight with beef burnt ends and pork spare ribs. Awesome! Boulevard beers on tap complimented the dinner well. If you are in... More

We shared a couple of sampler platters or "Pick Three's" The Brisket, Baby Back Ribs, Beef Burnt Ends, Pulled Pork. The Burnt Ends were absolutely delicious, tender and perfect in all ways!!! The Creamy Corn and Cheesy Potatos were excellent. The Jerk Wings were just ok a little heavy on the rosemary but it did not deter my reveiw on... More

First time trying Kansas City BBQ and although there are many many places in the city to try it this is one of the best and the food was truly fantastic. Great and quick service although you may have to wait for a table. They don't normally take bookings unless you have a great contact as we luckily did :-)... More

Located in downtown KC. Staff very helpful with suggestions from the menu. Located in a district with various shops, all within walking distance.

Everything good about this restaurant. Beautiffuly restored old freight warehouse near the historic Union Station in Kansas City. You now it's going to be good just walking through the door taking in the delivious, smokey smell of the barbecue. The service is always outstanding, servers engaging and helpful. Even though the place was busy our food came out in a... More

Our group of 5 thoroughly enjoyed their meal but we noted that the hype was greater than the BBQ. It was good...but I've had better. The pulled pork absolutely needed the BBQ sauce that was dribbled on and I gladly accepted the offer for more. I would have liked a more rich, smoky taste from a good brine-soaked, slow-cooked pork.... More

We had an excellent meal at the Freight house. The prime ribs, Lamb ribs, pork ribs and Beef ribs were all great. The Corn bread was to die for . The service was spot on. Be prepared for a short wait for a table but well worth it .

AMAZING, this was our first time there, our server AMY was the best, she recommended the combo, we both got it and was not disappointed, then she recommended the carrot cake, a little outside our box, but so happy we listened to her and got it. It was to die for!!! they serve it warm it was so delicious. We... More

We stopped in for a mid-afternoon Sunday lunch and the place was busy at 2:00pm with a 30 minute wait. We passed the time in the bar and were called within the projected time. It was a warm and sunny afternoon so we opted for dining on the patio. Kari was our waitress and was helpful, friendly and efficient. My... More
