Yesterday I had lunch at Bixby's with a business colleague. I was so happy to see Ray Wiley as the Chef! He provides wonderfully creative food. I had the pasta of the day which was penne with pancetta and a light cream sauce. The dish was delicious and was quite a large portion. My colleague had the roasted brussel sprouts... More

Bixby's is located within the St. Louis History Museum. There Sunday Brunch buffet is one of the best in the St. Louis area. They have a multitude of items out plus they also have additional items you can order, at no addition costs. We have been there several times and always please with the food and service.

I recently brought my adult daughters here for Sunday brunch. I made a reservation online for 11 AM and asked for a window seat; they honored this request. The service was perfect: Prompt, friendly, attentive, but not smothering. We each ordered a small plate, toasted each other day with our complimentary champagne, and headed to the buffet. The buffet had... More

Aim yourself at a non-busy time and date and enjoy the view. The menu is okay or better. The service is good or inept, depending on the individual. The food is usually okay - it can be a little fussy and fail because of it, so aim at the tried-and-true. The view is wonderful. Of all the places to grab... More

We planned ahead and made reservations for lunch since we knew our family would be visiting the Missouri History Museum that morning. I was pleasantly surprised to find a museum restaurant that offered such creative and varied menu items at reasonable prices. My daughter and I each ordered the Poached Egg & Brussels Sprouts Salad with added chicken (a generous... More

Terrible cold food. Expensive and when bill came they neglected to tell us 20 percent gratuity was added. Poor service as well. The view was great.

Wonderful panoramic view looking out on the grounds of the History Museum! I ordered the local apple Waldorf Salad, adding chicken (uncharge). For $15 I expected a decently sized salad, but it was not. It was an extremely small salad nestled on the big white plate with more plate showing than salad. Yes, the portion size was disappointingly ungenerous and... More

We ate here before seeing their current special exhibits. It was extremely busy when we arrived but we had fortunately made reservations beforehand. This visit occured during the Christmas break. We were seated, our orders taken and the food arrived in a very timely manner. We had Reuben's that were excellent.

This brunch in the restaurant in the St. Louis History Museum was one of the best I have been to. The food was excellent, service was great, and the entire restaurant has a view of Forest Park. The service was good, and afterwards we enjoyed the Route 66 exhibit, which was free.
