Old time St.Louis Italian fare. I have been there 3 times and each time I await the fireworks that everyone talks about but I've never even seen a spark. Some entrees are served table side so add chemical fuses to your experience. The servers have their own St.Louis favorite customers and it is very apparent when you are not one.... More

I had always heard about Tony's from my in-laws. That came with a promise that "we will take you there some day". I think they wanted to make sure I was going to say married to their daughter. After 25 years they said we will go. We have actually been married for 28 years but we just never made time... More

We have been blessed to enjoy some great meals since we were married, including a relative uptick in dining out these past several months, and all were great meals on their own right. And our visit to Tony's tops them all (no surprise)! I have lived in St. Louis all my life and have known since I was young that... More

The wait staff was great, from the table-side preparation, wine recommendations and realizing I was host the group, made everything go smoothly - order to paying the check. The food prepared table side was a reminder that meals this good should take their time and be enjoyed slowly.

This is a destination event. The service was absolutely PERFECT. The food was maybe the best I have had in the world - and I have been blessed with traveling to many nice places for food including Mortons and Gibsons in Chicago.

Tony's is as much a part of the fabric of St. Louis as the Gateway Arch, Forest Park, Eads Bridge, the Muny, Anheuser-Busch, the Chase Park Plaza Hotel and the St. Louis Cardinals. Anthony Bommarito founded the original restaurant in 1946 at 826 North Broadway between Delmar and Franklin. Tony died in 1949 and son Vincent has operated the business... More

I regret that I've rated other restaurants as "Excellent". None of them compare to Tony's. This is what "Excellent" should be. The wait staff were personable and very knowledgeable about their food. My wife ordered a cream mushroom soup and the Lobster Albanello. Bruce our waiter, suggested that "may be too much cream". She changed to the lighter ox tail... More

Tony's is one of those places that you go to for a special occasion. Not a t-shirt and jeans type of spot. The wait staff is great, and very talkative. One of my favorite aspects of Tony's is that the owner actually comes around at dinner time and talks to everyone like you're old friends-- I like that. The food... More

What an amazing dining experience, the entire waitstaff are true professionals of their craft. Not only is the food superbly delicious, but when you combine it with superior classical service, you're in for an exceptional and memorable event!!!

Tony's is a restaurant I thought I may have visited some 35 or more years ago. I remember an Italian restaurant I was taken to down town by a former boss. Well if this was not the place, it certainly will be in the top of my memory for another long time. The service is simply outstanding. Every dish was... More

Description
Tony's, a St. Louis landmark and nationally acclaimed restaurant, has featured award-winning food, service, and ambiance for more than 40 years. Recognized year after year with the AAA Four-Diamond Award and the Forbes (formerly Mobil) Four-Star Award, among others, executive chef Vincent P. Bommarito creates a signature menu. From lobster albanello to a veal loin chop with truffle sauce, from filet mignon of swordfish to a luxurious tasting menu, all dishes are finished tableside. Tony's complements each meal with a medal-winning wine collection and decadent house-made desserts. Servers, many with Tony's for decades, anticipate guests' needs to create an extraordinary dining experience. Every guest is treated to the gracious hospitality one would receive walking into the Bommarito family's home. Generations of families celebrate special events at Tony's; business and leisure travelers make sure to include dinner at Tony's in their visit.
