Ok, here’s the old town Deli you’ve been looking for… just skip the others. Seriously… we had so many places to choose from to grab lunch during our last visit to St Louis, but this one caught our eye. We wanted something fast and simple, get in, get out, fresh. BAM! Nailed it! It was like stepping back in time... More

This classic sandwich shop is amazing. They hand out samples of their warm salami sandwich....and they hook you. It's a no frills place with great service, friendly help, and amazing sandwiches. Don't miss it!

Went here because I saw all the folks standing in line out the door. Sandwiches are superb. Any sandwich, but I had their in-house made salami and boy, what a meal! See my picture. Small interior, but pleasant counter staff and plenty of people wanting to take your order and move the line so everyone gets their food in a... More

Great place. They gave us a sample of the warm salami they make fresh every day. It was unbelievably good. We got sandwiches and could only eat half as they are so large. It is a small place, but a lot of character.

I had the Hot Italian Sandwich special on garlic cheese bread. It was over the top. The sandwich was huge and it was loaded with meat. Be prepared to wait in line but the wait is worth it. They also have a nice seating area outside.

This little eatery across from Berra Park on the St. Louis Hill has been in business since 1918. Rumor has it that it was founded by some distant cousin 100 years ago, and that may be true, as my own great grandfather was a meatcutter, who came to America to make sandwiches for the clay miners, But the deli had... This little place is measles on a corner lot on the famous "The Hill" district in St Louis, Mo. The staff are the best, hands down. The dining room is small and quaint. The decor is pretty basic but give you the feeling of the age of this fine establishment. The sandwiches are amazing. Absolutely amazing. Their signature hot salami... More

Located on the Hill, Gioia's makes some great sandwiches, specializing in hot salami and provel cheese. Delizioso!

We arrived at the peak lunch time. They were very busy, but they got your order quickly. Everything was correct. Food is good. Hot salami was delicious. Not quite what we were expecting in an Italian deli, but good. I probably won't go out of my way to eat here next trip.

Thank Rhonda E
