My wife and I stopped in for lunch with a friend from out of town. The chips and salsa were good. We each tried something different for lunch, and we were all satisfied. Our server was quick and friendly. We would go back

Horrible Service by the owner Carmen Salazar (Wife of the owner Luis). We were kicked out of this restaurant on May 6 2017 during the special event of the Canelo/Chavez Boxing match after we paid a hilarious cover charge to watch the fight in their basement. At about 6pm we sat at one of the few available tables in the... More

This is a fabulous eatery! Outstanding service. The food is fresh and has true authentic taste. Yes the plate is hot, but the food stays warm while you relax and enjoy the meal. This is a great place to dine, have a conversation and take time. Service is fast but is not crappy fast food!!! If that is what you... More

The plates were so hot that the food never did cool down to really be able to taste it. I had the fish street tacos which was so greasy that I couldn't pick them up to eat like you should be able to for a street today very disappointed when I mention to the waitress where it was hard to... More

Don Luis is owned by a local Mexican family. They speak Spanis and serve the same. Locals go to this restaurant for good quality, good price, extreme quantity and great food.

This is the best Mexican food in town. They have a huge menu to select from. Portions are large. Never disappointed.

Maybe I am spoiled but nothing was "authentic" ... everything tasted like it was it was just popped into a microwave and heated. The staff was great and very friendly though !!! (by spoiled I mean I have tasted authentic so maybe I am just biased)

I'm rate Don Luis a 4 because of the Pork enchiladas. The pork was super moist on the inside. We showed up at 15 minutes before close on Monday night and the food was fresh and very tasty. Their chips seem to be store bought but came to the table crisp and warn. So for a late night stop for... More

If you can manage to figure out which door to get thru the restaurant, you will be met with a menu that in writing at the bottom says they charge for extra chips and salsa. Once you are past that insanity you will get to the old salsa. Bleh. Not fresh in any way, shape or form. As for my... More

First of all it's in a nice location downtown. The waitresses were really nice and friendly. The problem I have is when I come to a Mexican restaurant I'm expecting them to have the delicious Mexican drink horchata . Unfortunately this restaurant did not have it 😞 . The food was okay. But the prices were really high. Probably won't... More
