My husband and I ate breakfast here twice and dinner one time. The breakfast experience was much better than the dinner experience. My husband loved the pancakes and the portions were satisfying. Breakfast trout cheaper than dinner trout with the only difference appearing to be...More

We stopped for lunch before going to Yellowstone after having driven the Bear Tooth HWY. We needed a break after all that wild drive! I ordered a salmon wrap for $13 which was good..salmon as mild, sandwich was moist but the tomatoes slices were 1/2"...More

The food here was very good. We ate breakfast here a couple of days, and really enjoyed it both times. Service was a bit slow, but the place had enough character and things to look at to keep us occupied while we waited. They had...More

Trying to think of the worst food I’ve ever eatten in the US—that would be a small town in Colorado—until now. We were unable to eat the food we were served at Little Log Cabin. The “Chili with Cheese” I expected would be typical chili—brown,...More

We headed up to Cooke City after going through the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone National Park. We saw this place and stopped without even looking at reviews (because we had no service LOL). It's is a totally charming old log cabin with modern and very...More

When you are traveling across the country, you often have to resign yourself to one burger joint after another. But then sometimes, you find a place like this. The log cabin advertises that it serves some of the best trout around, and it was the...More

Perhaps the only place to eat in this small town at the Northeast entrance to Yellowstone Park. We stopped for lunch after traveling along the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone and stopping just outside the park before turning around and exploring more of the park. Cute...More

Rustic log cabin built in the 30s if I recall correctly. We had homemade meatloaf and chili. The meatloaf was pretty good but lacked the red sauce I like. The chili was homemade and had very little seasoning but was pretty good. Service was quick...More

Bacon and eggs breakfast was good, a little greasy. Fun to see a place that has kept the same decor as when it was built.

We had breakfast several times and lunch one time. This cafe is wonderful. Food is delicious and organic. If they have pumpkin bread I highly recommend trying it.

Description
Our meals are homemade, right in our 1937 log cabin kitchen. We uphold a longstanding tradition; creating wholesome and delicious dishes from only the most pure and nourishing ingredients. Many of our ingredients come from right here in Montana, like our famous Beartooth Burger, made from beef raised in the shadow of the Beartooth plateau. Our ingredients recall home cooking of the past, when folks gathered to share authentic dishes from nearby sources. Like the meals we all might have tasted at grandmother’s table years ago, the Log Cabin serves a feast of fresh, hearty and delicious flavors! For Yellowstone explorers seeking real recipes to fuel their passionate wilderness quests— weary of finding only overcooked, overpriced, brown glob, masquerading as a meal— the Log Cabin offers simple, nutrient-dense meals that surprise the senses. Your sources are sustainable and local rising to the hope of national parks to preserve nature for future generations. And our magical original log dining room soothes modern stressors. Unchanged since 1937— rooted deep like that dense pine forest sheltering us— the Log Cabin and its savory meals have been a timeless treasure for decades.
