My husband and I love this place and are always looking for any excuse to celebrate so that we can come back!! The accommodation is beautiful, as well as the surroundings and the menu is amazing! We love to work our way through the exciting menu choices and have never been disappointed yet! The team of staff are always friendly,... More

Yet another great meal at the Bears Paw. It's fairly local so I eat and drink there regularly with family and friends. I keep expecting the bubble to burst and suffer a bad meal but it just never happens. This time, I ate with my wife and two other couples who had never been before and they were equally impressed;... Due to the fact my colleagues work around the country from the South East, London Midlands and the North of England, we regularly meet here after a conference for dinner. We ate here about 2 weeks ago, it was a cold night and walking into lovely roaring fires was exactly what the doctor ordered. I must admit, i do not... More

I met some friends here for our Christmas meal last week. What a lovely place! Food was delicious! Lots of choice on the menu as well as a festive option. Desserts were yummy!! The service was friendly and attentive. Overall a great evening. I'd highly recommend to family and friends.

I visited the Bears Paw with a friend and had a great time! The staff were excellent and greeted us as we walked in - customer service is certainly one of their strong points! I ordered the steak pie and it was out of this world, flakey pastry, tender meat and great flavours and I loved the added jug of... More

A bit of a shambles really. We arrived to be ushered to our table by the lovely lady who seemed to be in charge. But we didn't see her for the rest of the night. And this was the end of the positive service. We were left without menus on the table. And had to ask for them twice. When... More

Try The White Lion at Weston for an infinitely better experience 😀 £25+ for a fillet steak that was overlooked and served with burnt chips. Burger was over cooked, dry and cold - how do they manage that?? Risotto was over cooked 'gloop' and, as a starter portion, was just about enough for Stuart Little! Oh, and the starters took... There were 6 of us in our party, and it was the first time we had eaten here for quite some time. Firstly we were slightly disappointed at the VERY small portions of starters (these were either £6.95 or £7.50 each) For main course I had Ribeye Steak at £23.95!! I asked for it to be cooked medium to rare,... More

I booked a Sunday lunch for family to celebrate three of our group's birthdays. As we were 8 people, I booked a few weeks in advance to ensure that we could get a table and so the restaurant knew we were coming. Thus, I expected that they would have prepared to accommodate our large lunch party, a busy Sunday lunch... More
