We had lunch here for the first time on Saturday. We were greeted and shown to our table. Only one vegetarian option on menu, which is a bit poor for this day and age. We asked for tomato sauce for Burgers and child's meal The young lady with glasses came back with a thimble full. I asked for some more... More

We chose The Mole as a venue for a meal as it was well placed for us all to travel to from Bucks and elsewhere in Oxon, for a lunchtime gathering. The staff were helpful and attentive but not hurried. Food was excellent and plentiful. There was also a reasonable selection of ales and lagers. The place is clearly popular... More

Went last Friday as a birthday treat for my partner. We shared fish cakes to start, both had steak and finished sharing a treacle tart. I haven't been able to stop thinking about this meal. The Front of house/waiters were fantastic. We will both be coming back very soon.

We had a Sunday roast which was good quality and good value. The pub feels in the middle of nowhere, and had gardens nicely decked out with fairy lights. Atmosphere was modern bland (pine furniture and pop music playing). Service was a bit hit and miss, and there was very little patience for members of our party who were foreign... More

Three ex-school friends, two who hadn't seen each other for almost 47 years, met up for lunch and had a great time. Located in a small village the Inn is a country delight - very friendly staff, great atmosphere, good food and a nice range of drinks... PERFECT! We decided not to go for starters because we wanted to save... More

we arrived without a booking, but were "squeezed in" by friendly staff. The food was not cheap, but was excellent. Lovely atmosphere and fine ale.

We were absolutely delighted with all the arrangements leading up to and on the day of our Wedding at The Mole. We had the most memorable time which all went just as perfectly as we had hoped. Even the rain didn't spoil it as we were in the warm surroundings of The Mole. We were so grateful for the advice... More

Visited while on a weekend in Oxford and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The manager was very friendly and knowledgeable, and many of the other diners seemed to be locals/regulars. We each had a starter and a main, and everything was lovely - well cooked, good combinations and a nice, brightly lit, spacious dining room.

Went here on a Sunday for an evening meal. There were 10 of us, some of us had the roast and some of us ordered from the a la carte menu. The food was very good but there was not enough of it, especially the roast and it's very pricey. The actual Inn itself is oldie worldie with a good... More

We've visited The Mole a few times, and it is always excellent. Generous portions and served with enthusiasm by young staff, often from the Antipodes... Last time we tried their fixed menu which was incredible value - £18 for two courses, £23.50 for three - and they have a good wine selection by the glass as well as by the... More
