We ate breakfast here this morning. Food was excellent. Portions were very hearty. Place was clean, and the lone waitress was very attentive, even though she had 8 tables to take care of. And the food was fast. I would go back anytime.

Stopped here on our way across Nevada. Casual and friendly. Coffee was luke warm and service slow and brought out the wrong sides so our expectations were dropping. But we were pleasantly surprised. The scone that I would have called fried bread was great. The veggie omelette was perfect.

Old small diner. The breakfast was just okay. The corned beef hash was canned which was a let down. The eggs were done well. The pitcher of coffee was nice so I didn't have to keep asking for refills as there was only 1 lady working.

We visited this restaurant twice, during our recent one week visit to Ely. Both meals were very good (breakfast and lunch). I can see why the parking lot always looks full, as this appears to be a local favorite. Portions are large, wait staff is very friendly and the prices are about average. Will def return on future visits.

We were more than half-way on a long (1200+ miles) road trip from Oregon to Colorado, having spent the previous night in our tent alongside a creek up on a pass -- so we were more than ready for (more) coffee and the first meal of the day. We all remember what The Breakfast Cowboy said ("breakfast is ..."). We're... More

Essentially a family style diner located on the main drag of a historic mining town. Only thing missing is its not on in a airstream trailer or a Norman Rockwell painting. Just kidding!. Restaurant recommended by a neighboring hotel currently being remodeled. Excellent recommendation. Took my grandchildren and my son for breakfast while vacationing in Ely. Friendly waitress, clean environment,... More

We went in for breakfast a couple of days ago while staying in Ely. The coffee was OK, my partner had bacon and eggs with hash browns and English muffin, I had the biscuits with scrambled egg with bacon and gravy over all. For such simple meals, they were very well prepared, the English muffin was toasted crisp and crunchy,... More

So we accidentally took the wrong turn in the "business" district of Ely. Within 3 blocks we are pulled over for running a stop sign and speeding. First of all I did not see a stop sign ad second I was behind 2 trucks going 15 mph. That's my story. The officer was pretty friendly like Barnie Fyfe (spell check)... More

Mgr @ Valley View RV Park said Silver State Restaurant had best breakfast in Ely. Service was v.good as was the food. Would definitely go there again when coming thru Ely. Lots of locals there as well, which speaks volumes.
