We were with some friends who wanted to pig out on Chinese food and this is the right place for that. It is in a strip mall and pretty basic, café like setting. You definitely don't feel like you are in Vegas, and all of the other customers seemed like locals. But the portions are HUGE and easy to share.... More

Went there on Dec 23 Friday night around 7 pm. Place is packed and have to wait in a line. Got seated near the door, and the wind chill keep blowing in freezing... Recommend sitting somewhere not close to the door! Within 5-7 minutes of ordering the food, they started to serve us, which is quite surprising considering the stuff... More

Wonderful Chinese restaurant in Las Vegas. We went twice in one week. The food and the service were wonderful. The Chinese-style BBQ pork was cooked to perfection. The soft egg and shrimp was delicious. Enjoy!

Sam Woo is Chinese food to America as LeBron is to NBA. They are so good in their games that you can never go wrong with your choice on them. Sam Woo is a Cantonese (Hong Kong) restaurant that has established itself for many years in California. For many, many years, they were as close as you can get to... More

Sam Woo BBQ has traditionally been a favorite of many. Late errand and drove by for a quick take out dinner for 5. Good decision, perfect choice. Roast pork, BBQ pork, Roast duck, stir-fried Chinese broccoli and fried rice completed the order and 5 adults eating at a room in a luxurious Las Vegas hotel were made happy! Highly recommended... This Sam Woo does not offer alcohol or Dim Sum (Cerritos and Orange locations in So California do). It was not crowded and the service and food was not as good as the Sam Woo restaurants in Southern California. We had to ask for water whereas in California- water is given.

We took some family members from Hong Kong here twice during a recent visit to LV and were surprised how authentic the fare was. First, it should be explained that when they say "BBQ" in the name here, they refer to a kind of southern (usually Cantonese) Chinese fast food, usually slices of roasted pork, duck or chicken over rice... The BBQ is just like I remember it in Hong Kong. The two item version has plenty of meat. We ordered duck and pork and couldn't finish it. Very tasty, but lots of bones in the duck. We also ordered the spicy, salt calamari. Good but not great....not very spicy and not salty enough, batter was a bit thick. Atmosphere... More

This was my first experience with authentic Chinese. The place was busy, almost everyone Chinese. My vegetarian food was fine, but I prefer the American versions. They like to use this Chinese green spear of something that is too tough to chew. Service was quick. They DID add a $5 tip to the bill without mentioning it, obviously hoping to... More

I came here 5 yrs ago, it's very good. I visited last month, it was terrible. They just want to charge you for the price with poor quality food. They added tips without telling you, I will never come back .
