Our meals were overloaded with sodium and the beans and fish were old and not fresh. As the only "Gringos" present, we did not get that good hospitality feeling. We didn't finish our meals and felt sick when we got home later that evening. We will never eat there again. The food service slow and not very friendly. The bean... More

This restaurant is located in a bright, colorful building on Plumb Lane two blocks east of So. Virginia. If I remember right it use to be a Bob Big Boy. My wife had a filet of fish covered with a cream sauce, small mild whole peppers and onions. I had shrimp stuffed with cheese, wrapped with bacon and fried. The... More

We really wanted to like this restaurant, but our experience was unfortunately negative. Although we were seated right away, it took an unusually long time for our orders to be taken and then we waited way too long for the orders to be delivered. Don't get me wrong; we were not expecting fast food service, but we weren't expecting super... More

I love going to Ensenada for seafood, and had high hopes for this place. But it was really disappointing. Fried shrimp were in a really heavy batter -- probably the heaviest I've seen anywhere on anything. Ceviche was watery and a little past its prime. Service just okay. 4 Vientos and Arroyo Grill both have excellent ceviche and I'd totally... More

Authentic chips, great seafood cocktail, excellent salsas and beans. Service was great too. Sometimes the best food can really be found in strip mall!

We "dined" here because we had a restaurant.com voucher. A mistake. The fish taco was limp, and the ceviche was unlike any ceviche I have ever had in Panama or Mexico. Will never come back.

We come here quite a bit but haven't posted about it. Both lunch and dinner are very reasonable and very good. Yesterday I had the Vuelve a la Vida regular size ceviche which comes in a huge glass mug, has Shrimp, Octopus, Squid, Scallops, Oysters, Mussels & Clams in some juice topped with avocado. Absolutely fantastic. I get this everytime... More

I live in Reno and have driven by this place countless times. Friends were in town for Hot August Nights (HAN) and they asked for seafood. My first response was Rapscallions, as good as it is, it is still a bit pricey. So using Tripadvisor this restaurant came up and I said let's give it a try. The culinary world... More

This was our first visit to "EL PESCADOR" an certainly not our last. The service was excellent and the food was great. Try the stuffed shrimp wrapped in bacon or the shrimp fajita. The beer is cold, and don't forget the lime!

Having had so many Mexican cuisine, we found this to be pretty authentic as the cooks and service staff were all Mexicans serving their cuisine like how they would eat them. We were driving around East Plumb Lane looking for a bite during lunch about 2 weeks ago and we came across this simple neighbourhood restaurant. Walking in just to... More
