We live in Carson City and were traveling over 80 to Sacramento for the night. We got a late start and decided to stop for dinner at the Lobster Buffet at the Boomtown Casino.... what a terrible mistake. The cost, including tax, was $40 per person, ok it is an "all you can eat lobster buffet," fair enough. Bottom line,... More

They were remodeling, so the buffet was in one of the conversation rooms.. We had no wait time!! Got right in around 4pm. They change the hours noon to 9 pm, so that helped!! Lots of choices of stuff to eat salads, Chinese food, pizza, soups, fruit, roll, chicken, beef, shrimp, salmon, osters, potatoes, vegies, gravy, lots of different deserts,... More

After 5 years in Reno, we finally tried the Lobster Buffet. Once and Done! OK, I'll cut them some slack on the venue . . . they are "remodeling" the usual space and the buffet was moved to another very bland event space. ALL the workers looked totally bored and completely disinterested in doing their job . . . hostess... More

Change of venue to Events Center means reduced buffet selections and lukewarm food. New buffet space is supposed to be ready on March 29. In the meantime, the favorite entrees disappeared, as well as the prepared salads. Chafing dishes cannot keep the food warm enough in the large room. Best to wait until the new room is ready and hope... More

It's $38.99 per person includes 12 and up 10 and under $18.99. I never thought lobster could be disgusting, until, I had it at Boomtown. This lobster has a funky taste and odd smell. They don't offer a great selection of foods for the price tag. If I had known the quality and selection I would've gone to the steak... More

Ok, famous lobster buffet. For $37! Famous for....little selection. Famous for...tasteless lobster. Famous for....lobster that is over cooked and shriveled. Famous for....peel and eat shrimp with the mud vein still in and head attached. Famous for....store bought calamari with factory breading(just like your store bought onion rings). Famous for...dried/overcooked/cold meat server(ings). Famous for....mushy sald bar with lackadaisical toppings. I would... More

I've have written a couple of reviews on the Boomtown buffet and they weren't very good. Now it is close to four stars just not in a variety to do that. The food has improved I don't know if they've got a new chef maybe an actual chef rather than just cooksor new recipes but it was tasty and good.... More

I didn't know you could get lobster this tasteless. So overcooked, it was like trying to eat rubber. Neither of us could finish the first lobster. Save your money and go somewhere else!!!

I did not enjoy the "Famous Lobster Buffet" the 1st time I went and I did not enjoy it this last time! My warnings to my family members regarding the buffet weren't heeded so I was obliged to go along. Needless to say they were very much disappointed from the small selection of foods to the disgusting, claw less, chewy... More
