We were taken to this well stocked ice cream parlor/ cafe by our UNH ex-student cousin and she insisted on us having ice creams. Even the Kiddie size offered by this Diary bar is huge and difficult to finish. They have a lot of flavors and the ones we had were all good. Not to miss place if you are... More

Fresh, basic cafe food that looks like it's as ethically and locally sourced as possible. Good ice cream (though not from the dairy program) and the wrap I had was above-average. The location in the train station was neat as well. The hardest part is getting there- there's plenty of parking next to the station since it's a pay lot,... More

We didn't really know what to expect from a "dairy Bar" but found a great menu, soup, interesting salads and sandwiches, and great list of ice cream flavors (care to guess what "black bear" tastes like?) We shared a cup of the soup of the day, and the special half sandwich and half salad and went away very satisfied. The... More

The food is well prepared and healthy. It is hard to find as it is below a hill at the train station, across from the football stadium.

Nothing fancy, no table service, just soups, salads, sandwiches made with top-quality ingredients, including fresh produce grown right on the UNH campus. Oh - and an awesome selection of ice cream! All in a pleasant, well-refurbished environment - the old train station. Fun that it's still a working station and that the Downeaster stops here. One of my favorite places... More

We stopped by for lunch and it was excellent. It's literally 3 minutes off of route 4 so it's a nice place to take a break. Easy to find on the left if you come in from route 4. Plenty of parking but you pay for parking. $1.50 for an hour. Great choices for sandwiches and salads, friendly service, nice... More

This was a real treat when we were in the area. the ice cream is awesome and the prices are not bad. The setting is very attractive, too.

The Dairy Bar serves lettuce and greens mix that are grown on UNHs campus. You can't get much fresher than picked the same day. Also their ice cream is wonderful. My personal favorite is the one that tastes like an almond joy, sometimes it is called coconut Avalanche

The UNH Dairy bar has been around for a long time but really stepped up their game a few years ago when they switched menus from a burger type menu to a locally sourced soup/sandwich/salad menu to accompany their ice cream. Most of the menu items have railroad related names, not surprising since the Dairy Bar is inside the Durham... More

Always love their constantly changing ice cream flavors. Locally sourced food is also good. Charming train depot building that is, sneakily, an actual train depot.
