Dirt Cowboy is a Hanover institution, obviously popular with students and faculty/locals alike. Great coffee (pour over is the default), tea, and other options. They appeared to have house-made juices, although it was too cold to go that route.

How many places are left like this one in "Starbucks" epoch? Please, come if you are in town, and enjoy sooo many choices of well roasted coffee from around the worl, fresh... More

Whether you're looking for a quick bite to eat for breakfast, brunch or lunch, or want to grab a coffee to go, this is your go-to in Hanover. Great service--try their delicious quiche or the blueberry muffin. While the seating at this popular spot is often full, it's also a great place to sit and work. In the winter, watch... More

Recommended by a local, so glad we stopped here. Was able to see a coffee map to determine the best one for us and the hot chocolate for the kids was amazing! Great, friendly staff!!

I must say that most coffee places I have been to open before 7:30 but maybe this is a late-rising town? I had a Costa Rican coffee that was really good and a blueberry muffin that was perfect for the morning. There is a Starbucks down the street but come on, support the local business.

So appreciated the early bird special and the perfect cafe au lait to start my day, home made pastries were delicious and just the treat I needed for a long drive.

Hands down one of the best coffee shops I've ever been to. Perfect for cozying up and doing some work on a cold New Hampshire afternoon, or for grabbing coffee with a friend. Dirt Cowboy has an amazing variety of quality coffees and espresso drinks, as well as fantastic croissants (try almond), quiches, sandwiches, fresh pressed juices, teas, and smoothies.... More

Stopped by on a whim, when tired at a conference and found all smiles and endless beverage choices. The teas were so so, but the blended fruit juices are amazing - esp if you let the staff help you. The food is delicious too.

These folks make great coffee, lattes, sandwiches and smoothies. I'm partial to their coffee cake as well. They're fast, efficient, friendly and LOCAL.
