We spent a weekend up in Jackson and decided to venture out for dinner one night. Our first choice was the Shovel Handle but it was closed for a private function. So we decided to try the Shannon Door Pub as it was the next closest place. This would be a great place to go with friends for a loud,... More

Shannon Door has delicious individual pizzas, plus a full menu of other great selections. Lots of draft and bottled beer choices. Live entertainment on many nights, guaranteed to be pleasant. We were there to hear Slimpickens and Miss Maybelle. They were great and it was just plain fun to be there.

Greeted by the quirky decor (tiny recessed shelves with winter scenes that warm the heart) and friendly staff I sat down with low expectations. Boy was I wrong! The trio of delights comes with beef stew, Shepard pie and pot pie in small pocelen cups for sampling. The Shepard pie was made with tender and flavorful ground lamb just as... More

Great food. The restaurant side was quite busy and the one waitress was coping magnificently. The barman refused to serve me when I left the table to get another drink - "sit down and the waitress will serve you, that's how it's done here" However this did not seem to apply to the locals, and he spent a while passing... The food isn't high quality but the staff were nice and they had live music. They had fair pizza, Italian food generally that wasn't memorable.

Trips to Jackson are just not complete without going to the Shannon Door for pizza. Yea, and Irish place with the best pizza in the valley. Go figure! We usually hit this place on our 1st night of vacation and then get take out on the last night. The staff is usually SUPER nice with the exception of whoever handles... More

We enjoyed the atmosphere and the Thursday live music. The menu includes pizza, Irish dishes, and American favorites. The local Tuckerman beer is worth sampling.

We enjoyed dinner and beer here - especially the beer. Although the spaghetti and meatballs were just average (but what did I expect at an Irish restaurant) the fish and chips and Guinness beer on tap were excellent. Live music made it a lot of fun. Casual and a nice place for relaxing.
