I frequent the "Bean" for breakfast. Their specials are inspired! Terrific muffins and if you are lucky, you can get day old muffins and bagels cheap!

Love the Big Bean! Always fresh and fun from the regular menu to their creative specials. There's a reason that it might have a line to get in!

This Newmarket Breakfast/Lunch spot is outrageous. Ignore the sign "Hippies use Backdoor - No Exceptions", but get the humor and fun. A fabulous place for older people, students and families. Not to be missed. This makes my life in Newmarket so much better.

The Big Bean is an excellent place for breakfast and lunch. All items have a little extra pizzazz. The food is fresh and well-made. Unfortunately, this is a small place and there is often a wait. Still, I would say this is the best place In Newmarket and a real gem.

Went with my daughter for a breakfast place. Highly recommend this place. Self service coffee from a variety of cool mugs. A great menu. Friendly staff. We are going again tomorrow, it was that good !

This little gem in Newmarket opens at 6 am for breakfast and stays open until 2 for lunch. They specialize in farm fresh eggs served just about any way you want, hearty home fries or hash browns, toast made from many kinds of bread, and of course specialty coffees by the mug-full. The lunch menu is no less extensive. Get... More

Found hair in my breakfast. Scrambled eggs had egg shells in them.all staff take turns at being the cook. Bad quality.

The Big Bean is fun! The locals all know it and love it. Coffee is plentiful and great; service is warm and smiling; breakfast specials are always creative and BIG. It's small in the sense that it's cozy. Get there early and expect to have a short wait for a table. In the nice weather bring the dog and eat... More

This place is a fantastic option for a New England breakfast. The atmosphere is casual and full of locals (in fact, a local brought us here). People of all walks of life dine here, and the food and service are excellent. Of particular note is that they bake their own breads. Cinnamon raisin french bread is fantastic. Ask for maple... finally made it to Newmarkets breakfast hot spot, and now I know what all the fuss is about. I had the downeast french toast which was amazing, I was sad I couldn't finish the plate. My husband and son each had an omelette, which were also perfect. We all had smoothies made to order with your choice of fruit and... More
