For Valentines Day I thought I'd treat my husband to dinner here. We've eaten here off and on for several years. But this time it just was awful. My dish in particular had a strangely tin taste and all the vegetables were mushy and wilted from age. I ate about 2 bites. My husband's meal was ok. Very sad as... More

I was worried that it was the only Indian Restaurant in the area, a local friend recommended it & met me there. Treated well as this is a family run business. All food brought out was excellent!

Love this place and frequent it often. Family owned and operated for what must be over twenty years now. Great flavours & spice.

This was our second time at this restaurant, and the service is still excellent, although the food is not authentic. We ordered vegetarian samosas, chicken tikkas, dahl soup and chicken tandooris with naan bread and pappadum. The dahl soup was watered down, and the chicken tikkas as well as the tandoori were not exceptional. However, the naan bread, samosas and... More

Staying the Red Jacket Mountain View Resort the Shalimar Restaurant was the nearest to the hotel. Whilst we were received well by the staff our food Rogan Josh was not the most appetising, in fact somewhat tasteless and the appearance of stew. Our opinion maybe tempered that we have travelled in the Middle Far East and India.

We have been dining at Shalimar for years but never got around to reviewing it. It's a definite reason to go to North Conway besides all the shopping and skiing. Last Saturday we went to Shalimar for dinner and ordered saag paneer, baingan bhartha, and garlic naan. Their saag is flavorful and the paneer, clearly house made, tastes fresh and... More

Ordered the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan and both were incredible. Was pleasantly surprised to find excellent Indian food in North Conway of all places. Would definitely return!

We were excited to find an Indian restaurant in the area. Great food, good service and great prices. We had the pappadum, vegetable samosas, chicken vindaloo and garlic naan. The medium chicken as spicy enough and very enjoyable, and the garlic naan was very garlicky! Would definitely recommend it

Stooped for an early dinner on a late Monday afternoon. Very nice and attentive staff. Shrimp curry was delicious - medium was hot enough for me - and my wife had the aloo gobi which was lovely although even mild/medium made her eyes water! Easily as good as many of the Indian restaurants back in the UK. Highly recommended.

Having lived in India for some time, I can attest that the food here is good, not outstanding. A very good place for those who are trying Indian food for the first.
