Good beer choices. Didn't eat here. The place was loud and fun. A bit on the young side for us to stay for the evening, but enjoyed it none-the-less.

Had the ale house mussels and fresh bread. Outstanding! Would also recommend the pastromi on rye. Not to mention the fresh draft brews. Great service, too. Will return.

I've eaten at Portsmouth Brewery a few times now, and am always struck by the diversity of their in-house brews. These are the guys behind the more widely-distributed Smuttynose Brewing Company and they have a unique set of brews at this location, as well as growlers to go and the like. Typical brewpub fare with an emphasis on seafood, which... More

We always get a good meal here. We've been several times. It tends to be very busy on the weekends, so get there early. It's fine for kids.

We had just arrived into town and this was our first stop as we were starving. A varied menu was great for my family. Husband had mussels which he loved!

Stopped in for beer samples on a tip from the Alehouse Inn. Not only was the beer excellent but the food was as well!

Great service and friendly staff at the bar. Plenty of menu choices and daily specials. No old Jamison but the staff can usually find reasonable substitutes. Beer options are not as extensive as thirsty moose but better or comparable to nearby bars/restaurants.

Love eating here!! Their beers on tap are great and brewed right on sight. The food is great and pairs well with their selection of beers. The wait staff will help you pair you choice of beer with your meal. Great place to eat at any time

A friend recommended that we try Portsmouth Brewery while in town. We were not disappointed. The place was so busy when we got there at about 1p. They told us we could enjoy the bar downstairs while waiting, and took our cell phone number to text us when our table was ready. We ended up staying downstairs as it was... More

Welcome to New Hampshire's original brewpub, a landmark in downtown Portsmouth's thriving restaurant scene since 1991. Our wide-ranging menu is complemented by a selection of our own unique, hand-crafted beers, as well as selected guest beers, including hard-to-find selections from our sister company, Smuttynose Brewing Co. Come for the beer. Stay for the food. We serve all types!
