The epitome of a diner breakfast. Unlimited coffee, pancakes with anything you want in them, the BEST blueberry muffins I've ever had. No joke. If you arrive on a weekend morning after 9am, you'll have to wait. But it's worth it. Or just come on a weekday, or with a small party and sit at the bar. The staff is... More

Breakfasted here. Many different omelettes on the menu and they were excellent. The restaurant is very busy but service is fast. Great place for breakfast.

Great place for a hearty breakfast. Love the home made toast and took a slice of coconut cake for later. Originally ordered biscuit but it wasn't what I call a southern biscuit so opted out for toast. Priced in line with the other places in the town. Stop in for a great meal but be prepared to wait a little... More

I love meeting friends for breakfast and The Golden Egg has become one of my favorite spots. The atmosphere was immediately welcoming. As soon as we were seated coffee (or whatever your choice) was offered and delivered. I immediately appreciated the fact that our conversation did not have to compete with loud obnoxious music. The menu was classic breakfast...and the... More

This place could use a lot of help! Cleaning would be a great start! Uniforms would be cool to make it look professional. And these prices what the heck pricey! Skip the golden egg!

We have not had a bad breakfast here in the dozen times we've gone. Last time was omelettes - not fancy, but good food and great prices. Service is always good too.

We love golden egg. Eat here frequently when travelling thru Portsmouth. Eggs are farm fresh, muffins are hearty and tasty. Ditto for pancakes. Nice wait staff and good prices.

Came across this spot as I took a drive. So busy the cars lined the street at 10am. Took a spot at the counter and was met by a hard working friendly staff and patrons. Great, diverse selection. Worth a stop!
