Although they are closed for the season, go here in the spring for their chowder, Whether clam or lobster, they are creamy and filling.

Oh, what can I say about the fluffy chowder with gigs of lobster (cooked in sheer and butter) dropped right in the middle??? How about the hot lobster roll (just lobster cooked in sherry and butter)? The bisque? The lobster mac 'n cheese? This little shack delivers big!!! I wish they were one all year!!! See you next time! We... More

Everything is fresh here. The Lobster comes in from a boat across the street. Steamers , Shrimp and Lobster rolls. We were told about the Fluffy-chowder beforehand and it did NOT disappoint us. Mac-Cheese-Lobster dinner filled me up. I went back and told the staff FOUR THUMBS up on Trip Advisor.

Went for brunch, the hot lobster roll was amazing! Nice atmosphere right on the harbor near all the boats and the other shacks.

Yummy! We discovered this "hidden jewel" in Rye Harbor yesterday. I was looking for boiled lobster "in the rough", and my husband, a lobster roll. This was the perfect little spot. The lobster was tender and flavorful. I also enjoyed a cup of lobster gazpacho, with big chunks of lobster. Prices were very reasonable, very casual/rustic setting in s tiny... More

We stopped at the Rye Harbor Lobster Pound and we had a couple bowls of the lobster bisque. It was so good and lots of lobster. One person also had the shrimp cocktail and raved about it. Definitly worth the trip. Actually the trip is fun to drive and enjoy the ocean and the grand homes. Then stopping for the... More

I am not a huge fan of lobster rolls, I think they are just overpriced sandwiches. Having said that I do Like this Lobster Pound's version. It is a tiny restaurant but worth the trip, if you are in the area. We live in rye during the summers so we frequent here probably more then any other restaurant here. Except,... More

You would never expect something so good out of a place so small. Best lobster roll I have ever had in NH. 2nd best to Red's in Wiscassett, ME. Perfectly toasted bun, plenty of lobster and a splendid butter sauce. Mouthwatering,

my title says it all. Fresh caught, fresh steamed, cracked and mixed. Toasted rolls on an electric skillet, in a lobster shack on the harbor. "nuf, said?"

Great! It's just really good food and really good people. It's no frills, and it's not fancy, but it's authentic.
