Food is extremely yummy! The service was good as well, except for the fact my waiter kept making “suggestions” that were literally just the most expensive things on the menu, which I find distasteful. My only real complaint would be the drink prices - $11+ for a glass a sangria is too much, and the Amalfi special (which is literally... More

From the location and appearance outside we never would have thought to stop, but once you enter it is like a teleportation into Italy itself. The booth designs and decor were great. I think it was the perfect Italian motif. The food was just as good. We started with the Eggplant Rollatini, my daughter immediately made a face and scoffed... More

So great that you definitely want to make a reservation on the weekends. Must try the grilled calamari appetizer. Have always had excellent meals and service here.

I've eaten here multiple times over the years and given that Route 28 in Salem, NH has Tuscan Kitchen and the Colosseum, to me, the overwhelming #1 choice for awesome Italian food is Trattoria Amalfi. The atmosphere is unique in that the booths are boxed off and set up like a Tuscan vineyard offering a lot of privacy to the... More

First time dinning here and we were simply blown away at how great this place is. My hubby being Italian is very picky when it comes to Italian restaurants. Our server Dominic showed us how truly a server who loves his job should be. The food was excellent, although I always take half home and even my hubby did as... More

Traditional Italian food with over the top decor. Food is very good with very large portions. Seafood dish was very flavorful, but the stuffed pork chops are the house specially. They are huge and cooked just right. Lots of typical pasta. Would be even better if he pasta was home made. Noise level was on the high side so the... More

If you are looking for authentic Italian this is the place. It is a hidden gem. Food is positively fabulous! Only open for dinner. I wouldn't wear jeans & a tee shirt but you don't need a coat & tie either / casual is fine. Service is what you would expect in this class of restaurant. The desserts are WOW!... More
