Cute little shop with a restaurant attached. Typical village store selling all kinds of necessities plus a few remembrances.

Superb homemade dinners Tues. through Fri. in the Summer, from time to time thereafter. Call to confirm. A Hardware Store, an Ice Cream Bar, a Luncheonette, Gifts and Groceries. If you need something, they probably have it. Wonderful atmosphere and friendly service.

We stop here when cycling in the Tamworth / Wonalancet area. A great stop with friendly service and delicious ice cream float and free water fill-up. We sit out back at the picnic table next to the lovely Wonalancet (Swift) River in the shade. There are tables inside and a deck in the back as well. The afternoon we were... More

The most unusual venue: a hardware store with a few tables serving fresh and local fare cooked by a rotating group of neighborhood volonteers! Very lovely, very inexpensive and surprisingly tasty...byob, so we bought a few bottles next door. We return year after year before seeing a performance at the Barnstormers Theatre

The name is actually The Other Store. Good descriptions in these reviews, but... the only thing this place does not have is pizza!

This is the most unusual combination of retail and restaurant I've ever been in! Local produce in season and handcrafted goods, surprisingly complete line of hardware, kids' books, music, cards, and limited groceries share space with breakfast and lunch offerings, ice cream and home-baked cookies, and special dinners before shows at the Barnstormers Theatre. Plus live music out back on... More

This is not one of those "pretend" country stores. Rather this is where you can get in one tiny store the following - a great milk shake, one of Betty's cookies, a new trap for your drain, bird seed, a lightbulb, a gallon of milk, Benjamin Moore paint, beautiful candles, a puzzle and send a fax! If you sit at... More

The is a great Old time village store which carries just about anything you need. has a great little lunch counter too. Seems like you've stepped back to Mayberry. Cute setting with a nice view of the river also.
