Overall happy with the experience. Staff was nice (but did not wear masks). Spinach Artichoke dip wasn't greasy which I appreciated. Burger was good, but I would've liked a slightly thicker burger. They do the basics well. Nothing creative but you'll be satisfied. Prices a little high but I'd rather give money to a local business than a chain.

We have been ordering from Sand Castle Diner for years. Since Covid we have probably order there once to twice a week. In the last few weeks our orders have been messed up with someone else's order sent in place of ours on one occasion and missing items on two others. Two out of the three times I called and spoke to the son of the owner who was polite and professional telling us he would take care of it on the next order. Today we ordered four meals totaling 84 dollars. The Seafood platter came without the items listed on the menu and no sides. The steak had no taste and was tough and the chicken dry. In all the years we've eaten here this is the worse meal we ever had. When I called and spoke to the owner he said he would send a new meal but he sent a partial without several things ordered. Insult to injury. His daughter delivered it with a scowl on her face annoyed at having to travel two blocks. I gave her the steak to return to her father and asked her to have him taste it. I did not want him to think I was no telling the truth and wanted him to see it went uneaten. I called and asked for our money back and he said he would take care of it next time. I said I would rather have my money back since no one there remembers the "next time" I offered to send back all the food but he said he didn't want it. He told me "we're doing the best we can under the circumstances. (What circumstances. It's a take out meal and should have been as described and as ordered and was not. ) I replied I understood that but again, it's a restaurant and this is a take out meal. We have never had a bad meal from then til now. He told me he would return the money for two of the meals and his daughter would come and return it and hung up on me. His daughter pulled up a few minutes later. I politely told her to hurry so she wouldn't get wet as it had begun to rain and she began a tirade on my lawn in front of my house . My neighbors were outside. She practically threw the money in my face and said "people are dying there are more important things than this." I replied that people dying doesn't mean they can serve and get paid for bad meals. She replied "we're trying" I said we have been coming to your diner for years and this is the first bad meal we have ever gotten. She replied by shouting "Don't ever come to our restaurant again. Don't ever order from us again. Don't ever come back to our restaurant" This is how you run a business with a customer who has been loyal for many years?!!
She comes to my home and screams at me on my property. How does she have the right to do that. This is my home and my neighbors and she has a melt down in front of my home for $40?!! Unprofessional, rude, entitled...because she's the daughter of the owner she can treat customers any way she wants!!

Have been going there for over 20 years and never been disappointed. Their breakfast is delicious and you get specials during weekdays. My husband also loves their pork chops and I love on Sunday their stuffed cabbage

Have eaten here quite a few times.. The burgers are tasty.. One time we went and weren’t happy with the server, but that’s okay maybe she was having a bad day or just tired.

This is our neighborhood favorite place to eat (besides the ice cream parlor) -- the food is always excellent and plentiful, the service is ALWAYS great, and the menu has an amazing variety. When the grands visited, they loved having their picture taken with the dinosaur, whose eyes change color. There's something for everyone here (including one celiac grandfather and one vegan aunt.)

I have been coming to the Sandcastle diner for years!!! Their burgers are the best & #1 in town!!! They also make the best spinach & artichoke dip...all their food is delicious!!! I think their prices are a little high but I feel that it’s worth it

Burgers are great as well as their chicken rice soup. Kids enjoy the chicken tenders! Waitresses are friendly and attentive and service is prompt. Owners friendly!
