Located in the Congress Hall hotel, this restaurant offers an absolutely excellent breakfast. Dinner was disappointing, however. The dinner food was good, but not great and way overpriced. Service however, was excellent.

$ 21 for fish and chips, $ 16 for a burger. Pedestrian room for decor. Server was good. Probably never going back but I can see why it is so popular. The Congress Hall attracts lots of folks so they dine here.Typical shore dining event.

We ate here while staying at Congress Hall, which houses the Blue Pig Tavern. The farm-to-table menu is unique- I wish we could have tried everything! The Blue Plate special was a great deal for the amount of food. The restaurant has interesting decor and history, and we loved both the dinner and breakfast that we had here. Will definitely... Had breakfast once and it was fine. What you would expect at a standard place-- typical breakfast fare.

What can I say that has not already been said? This place is chuck full of history and its beauty is something that you need to take in. We had Sunday Breakfast by starting out with a juice which was recommended by our very nice server. It was a delectable mixture of Beet juice, Apple and Pineapple. As she explained... More

We had both dinner and breakfast at the Blue Pig. What a treat! The restaurant is located inside the Congress Hall hotel. When we went for dinner we entered through the main hotel massive doors. I love this hotel. It's old and historical and lavishly beautiful. As you walk through the hotel doors you make a left into a huge... More

Went to The Blue Pig on a very crowded President's Day morning. My husband and I were seated within a few minutes at a very small shaky table. Not really a problem for me because the fireplace was burning and the overall atmosphere is pretty cheery. Our waitress arrived quickly and took our coffee orders, but once she delivered the... It was nice to have a place to go to grab dessert later on a Saturday night. We stayed at the Star Inn across the street from Congress Hall and were craving something sweet. So, we popped across the road to the Blue Pig for dessert. I got the triple chocolate mousse cake and it was so rich and delicious.... More

Visited the Blue Pig over the weekend after wanting to stop in for a long time. We arrived for lunch and were seated promptly, we placed our orders and the pain immediately started. It took five....yes five requests through three different servers until my wife received a napkin she had requested and three requests to stop the table from shaking.... More

We had a good dinner with the family. It's better than most of the beach restaurants. Food was good, service was outstanding and it's a great environment for both families and adults. It is a bit expensive though.

Description
The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.
