The Red Store came highly recommended, and we are so glad we listened! Very few restaurants are open in Cape May this time of year. The Red Store is only open on weekends until later in the Spring. The shrimp and grits and homemade chorizo sausage ... yummmm... must tries!! The staff was super friendly and the place itself was... More

Excellent food, with an interesting menu..I have only had breakfast there, it is not your typical eggs/pancakes /french toast..You need to go several times to try everything , or go with close friends that let you taste there food.. Inside and outside dining.. They have fresh baked pastries , if they have the cheese croissant get one for later, but... More

We are frequent diners and fans of the Red Store over the past three years. After living outside of Providence Rhode Island for 10 years, and now living in the Jersey Shore, it's refreshing to find culinary perfection. We had New Year's Eve brunch and it was fantastic! I always try something different and have always been impressed. I had... More

I went for breakfast a couple weeks ago and it was wonderful. A lot of food and fair prices. I love their Red drink! I try to get one every day they are open.

This is fun dining. And it is pretty fine dining as well. You won't know the menu in advance but that's part of the fun. When a dish you see on lots of menus transcends the ordinary, you know the kitchen is doing great things. The yellow fin tartare was subtle with a touch of heat and sweet and was... More

Owner/chef Lucas Manteca is back in the kitchen this fall with an amazing 8 course tasting menu on Friday and Saturday evenings. Each weekend presents with a different menu where the chef's culinary creativity takes over. No decisions to be made, except if you want fish or meat for your main course. Yellow fin tuna tartar, smoked heirloom beets, risotto... More

First let me say that my husband & I went for dinner & loved the 8 course tasting concept & the food at The Red Store. We are open to trying anything & that is why it worked for us. They have an incredibly talented chef who puts ingredients together that are out of this world! If you are a... More

We book dinner hear each year for our trip in the off season. This year, we were surprised to find a switch to the chef's tasting menu. I enjoyed the experience of having a variety of small plates. The chef combines interesting ingredients and flavors for a unique experience. The setting is quite pleasant as is the service. The BYOB... More

This is a nice little "general store" that is mostly a restaurant, coffee shop. They have a selection of pastries, coffee, ice cream and such in the front. In the back there is a small indoor restaurant and an enclosed patio restaurant that offers breakfast and brunch. We had the burgers and the cubano sandwich, both were excellent. The service... We read good reviews of this out of the way stop near Cape May so tried it out.. We enjoyed a generous burger and yummy grilled cheese and duck breast sandwich on fresh breads but the prices were high. The general store part of the building was not interesting. Baked goods looked enticing but resisted.
