My husband had chicken parmesan and I had the eggplant parmesan. Excellent tomato sauce! Tasted very fresh. Really good pumpkin pie too. Was very crowded and did have to wait for a table, but Worth the wait.

Before going to the mall I decided to go to Ponzios first For what I thought would be a delicious breakfast! Wow, was I disappointed! Our fried potatoes were old greasy and cold, the omlet was a very small serving with no flavor. I didn't...More

This is a nice dinner. Not a fancy place. Just a good place to get a meal. The wait staff AFP are lovely. The menu is basic good dinner food. The prices are moderate. This diner has been here for many years with modern updates.

Although many family members come here for the nostalgia, my taste buds beg to move on. The junk food is not as good as most places, and the healthy food is not fresh enough or tasty enough to enjoy. On par with Denny's. Even the...More

Good thing you did not complain about price in person! They call the cops! 1 of 5 starsReviewed June 1, 2013 Ponzio’s Review CAUTION: Don’t complain to the owner I have just had one of the worst experiences ever at a restaurant. After spending over 1 hour waiting for our check, once our meal was finished, (yes… over one hour for our waiter to tell us how much we owe) they had the audacity to charge me and my date 18.5% gratuity for their incompetent service. When I complained and said the service was not even worth 10 % Gratuity and I wanted $2.56 off the bill for lousy service. The owner of Ponzio’s Diner in Cherry Hill, NJ called the police. When the police arrived the officer was very cordial and calmed down the Diner owner, we were able to leave. Do you believe a Diner owner would call the police over a complaint about incompetent service that could have been settled by allowing a $2.56 Deduction off of a 48.00 bill? ($7.56 of which was unearned gratuity). I was willing to leave a $5.00 gratuity for the incompetent service. When I made the manager aware of my displeasure, he refused to compensate me and asked me if he wanted to get the police involved. I thought he was joking so said “sure call the police” What a Buffoon. I have probably had about 100 or so meals at this diner over the last 10 years… I never had a problem with the food or the service. But after this… he has lost me as a customer forever. I though the Gratuity was a stipend, tendered by a satisfied customer, to a service provider, for a job well done. Since both my children worked as wait staff at several restaurants during their high school and college years, I understand the rules and usually leave a gratuity in excess of 25%. My girlfriend always says I leave too much. This service was really bad and the owner compounded it (the poor service) with his actions. After he called the police he said I could not leave until the police arrived, he has us on surveillance cameras and he would file a complaint with the police if we leave. (He should check his surveillance footage to see if he would have commended his staff on how we were served.) I really like the food there and the only way I will ever return is if I get an apology from this owner. I can assure you that he is not man enough to see his mistake. So I guess… never again at Ponzio's. Visited June 2013 1 of 5 stars Value 1 of 5 stars Atmosphere 1 of 5 stars Service 4 of 5 stars Food Ask Ed Y about Ponzio's Diner-Bakery-Bar
