I lunched with a friend at Sally Lunn's Tea Room the other day and had a delightful experience. The restaurant is situated in an old building just of o the main street in historic Chester. It is a charming space with many antique tables with mismatched chairs. The tables are covered with floral linens and topped with lace tablecloths. Beautiful... More

In all the years I've lived near Chester I've never had the opportunity to stop in to Sally Lunn's until recently. I will definitely come again. Our server was friendly and helpful. I ordered the cockney pie with sausage and bacon along with a side salad. My daughter decided on lobster mac n' cheese which was a special that day.... More

My wife and myself decided to try this place after a day shopping in Chester. This is not the first tea house that I have been to but will not come back. Unlike other tea houses this one is really noisy, this place should just be a cafe. The tea selection on the menu was large but they do not... More

There was a banana Caribbean pie that will make you weep! It's like the best bread pudding meets bananas meets all good flavors rolled into deliciousness!

I've eaten here quite a few times, and it never disappoints. The food here can't be beat. It's like your grandmother is cooking for you from the pickings of her home-grown vegetable garden. Not that the owner appears as a grandmother. She's beautiful. Its just that her recipes have that old world, secret recipe taste. My favorites are the chicken... More

I went here 26 years ago on a school trip so decided to return. It did not disappoint. A quaint little place with excellent service. We had cream tea buns and they were amazing, I bought 4 to take home and freeze. Wish I lived nearer bath so I could go more often.

Came here for dinner and then for lunch the next day. Amazing value for money. With mouth watering famous buns. I prefer coming for lunch then dinner, as I really enjoyed the cream tea. Going back today to buy some buns to take home.

What a charming and unique establishment! It's decorated with a true feel of an old English cottage, serving unique teas and the most delicious scones you've ever tasted.

Though a beautiful and interesting history, which entices people to go, it was totally crammed and noisy. Acceptable food, but didn't like the nut pate dish. The atmosphere was great but too many tourists all in the same room. Staff were very helpful and polite.
