Stopped at Stewart's root beer stand and ordered a few hamburgers and soda's. Was amazed that they still came to the car and took your order , then brought it back out to your car and put it in the car window. Good food and very polite.

This place will intentionally try to rip you off. Charging a $1.56 for tax on a 4.20 milkshake? Evading giving me the total until after she tells me to wait in my car and bringing it to me? I drove away without the milkshake. I think the only shake going on here is her boss trying to shake me down... More

Got sucked in by the blueberry shake and glad I did...until, just as I was finishing the last sips and the old man (owner?) pulled up his wooden stool literally six feet from my car and lit up a cigarette! Seriously? And then to go to Tripadvisor and read that this is a regular occurrence! He needs to be put... More

Back in the 60s when you visited a place like this you could be sure there would be a cook in dirty t-shirt with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth in the kitchen. I guess it has been a long time since I saw that so it definitely left an impression. The place was still open, still serving food,... More

Stewarts has gone down hill. they claim to serve burgers infused with bacon and cheddar. what they infuse it with is just gristle. When complained to management they indicated they would take care of the concern. Never followed up with their promise od compensation for the horrible food.

They have a decent menu for a little place and the people who work there are pretty friendly especially the quirky girl with the glasses. The food is okay but that's not a bad thing. It's a little stop on the side of the road I mean if you expect grade A 5 star quality food then you should have... More

Not sure what the last reviewer is talking about. My husband and I stopped at Sophias Subs (formally Stewarts) and were greeted by two friendly adorable waitresses. There is so much on the menu, including many homemade items that we had trouble deciding, after the waitress suggested the homemade crabcakes, I decided to try them. They were very good, and... Quality wise, cheap. Cost wise, not so cheap. Little in the way of selection. Then (the most obnoxious part) when you get bummed that they have such little selection, you're looked at like you're the screwed up one. The "old time" feel doesn't make up for the lack of selection, the high price, low quality food and rudeness that are... More
