The seating is crowded, uncomfortable, and awkward, but if you can get past that, their lobster roll is fantastic. Bacon and lobster, need I say more?

I'm in New Jersey working, which lead me to be alone on Mother's Day. I asked someone on Grove Street where could I have a great meal. He pointed across the street and said "Skinners Loft". I got there and was greeted by a man who sat me upstairs in the beautiful dinning area. I was very impressed with the... More

We found this restaurant bar on our last day in the area (right next door to our apartment!) Really cool interior and although a small menu it was interesting and we all found something really delicious to eat. Good service, relaxed atmosphere reasonably priced - will definitely return

We had 9 people and were able to get seating on a Sunday during brunch! The food was excellent, and great prices, atmosphere. We also had wonderful cocktails for our Sunday outing, and enjoyed the whole experience. We will go back when in Jersey City, it's a great spot!

Skinners makes an honest Irish Coffee, a wide selection of liquors, has an impressive list of local and imported beers on tap (Maudite!), and a decent food menu too.

Skinner's Loft is one of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure to visit. The atmosphere is amazing - either in the cold weather (fireplace upstairs) or the warm weather (bistro tables on the street OR rooftop)!!! The food is excellent and the bar area is inviting and comfortable and the dining room upstairs is just beautiful. The... More

The experience, food, service and eveything that makes for a delightful evening can be found at skinner's loft in Jersey City, NJ. When in this wonderful city over looking NYC and 'The Lady' you don't have to search for a wonderful restaurant ... got straight to skinners loft.
