Went there to see a band on a Saturday night. they wanted to charge $10.00 to sit in the area in front of the band! So we did not do that we wanted to eat as well. So they sitted us around the corner in there dining room and we could hear the band from there!? Go figure..At dinner I... More

Ok...so maybe we are super spoiled by amazing Cajun food as we recently came back from New Orleans but despite their best efforts this place is just average. There was nothing wrong with the food served but there was nothing to write home about either. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and the food looked delicious however tasted only ok.... More

First time at HCK. We were seated right away. Our server was very good and answered every question we had. The appetizers were good but a bit on the cool side. I had the ribs & fried chicken which was very good. The short rib special was delicious and very tender. The stuffed shrimp was good also. The only real... More

We haven't been to HCK in a long time. My husband was in the mood for fried chicken so we decided to give it another try. The only thing that was okay was the chicken. My salmon was swimming in an overly sweet mustard sauce. My steamed spinach was floating in oil. My friend's half rack of ribs were disgusting.... More

It was okay. I wasn't impressed. Ambiance was nice, Mac and cheese did not taste good. Garlic spinach was the bomb diggety. I would return for just that. Most soul food spots offer 2 sides, this is the first spot I've been to that didn't. Anyhow I plan on returning to check out the entertainment, one day

Apps, beer music and ambience were excellent. Calamari, fried zucchini very tasty. Wings pretty good. However Service was very slow. My ribs were dry and not (re)heated through. Wife's food also not heated through. My 8 yr old wouldn't eat his Mac and cheese and he is definitely not a food snob. I tried it and it was like they... More

It looked like the bar was a nice scene, but we chose to sit in the dining room. The live music was still very loud in there to the point sometimes you couldn't hear what the person right next to you was saying. Our waitress was very nice and courteous. The food was good, but need a little more flavor... More
