My waitress I believe was named Ann, she was very rude to my grandmother when we came here. My grandmother asked for a plastic bag instead of a brown paper one and this apparently annoyed her very much that she had to go back and...More

A great place to break bread with family and friends. Speaking of bread - real Italian bread just right with evov and spices. Spano's is a BYOB - so your wine selection will only enhance your dinning experience. To start the appetizer list has one...More

We were here a few times and have never been disappointed. They have some things on their menu, that you don't find at every other Italian restaurant. Service is very good, prices are really not bad, especially when you consider the amount of food that...More

Dined here with a party of 6 on Saturday. Friendly attentive staff, great food, huge portions, was very happy to have the leftovers yesterday. I love the Spano Feast and Lasagna. You will leave here full and happy. Your wallet will be happy as well.

What a great find. Super nice staff, delicious food, quiet dining. Who could ask for more at the insanely reasonable pricing. BYOB! love it! Everything was delicious. Plenty of food for two people on one dish. We will be back!

BYOB, food is awesome, plan to wait if you don't have a reservation, but it's worth the wait. Great portions, great atmosphere

You can't get better than this for the money. BYO and you'll have plenty of food to bring home left overs - and you will want them!

Long wait, super crowded, ordinary food. Steamers were ok, a little sandy, soft shell crab was fried and very greasy. Service is very rushed, barely finished my appetizer and salad before next course came. Would not go back

Seven of us visited Spano's on a Saturday night around 8:30 PM. We had a reservation, but waited a few minutes which was no issue. This is a BYOB restaurant on the Jersey Shore. The staff did a great job throughout dinner, refilling drinks and...More

Spano's Ristorante Italiano is a wonderful little store front restaurant just like you see in Brooklyn, with a quaint interior featuring oversized comfy booths and Italian music to complete the ambiance. The restaurant gets bustling after 6pm, and on weekends there can be quite a wait. The good news is they're open 7 days a week, so you can get the same amazing food on Tuesday without a wait. Speaking of the food, its authentic old world Italian prepared by Chef Joseph Spano. All ingredients are fresh, never frozen...fresh local fish and seafood, the highest quality veal, cut and pounded daily for the Veal dishes, Same with the chicken and eggplant, all prepared fresh daily. Spano's marinara sauce is the original winner of the Boss of the sauce contest sponsored by a local radio station and featuring all of the Shores Italian restaurants, as voted by a panel of judges and the general public. All of our ravioli, cheese filled, lobster, and specialty (like roasted butternut squash, or Osso Bucco) are handmade. They make the dough, they make the filling, and they stuff and cut each ravioli by hand. The portions are oversized, and the prices are very reasonable. They have an extensive menu and use only Certified Angus Beef, many of the dishes can be seen on their Facebook page at spanosristoranteitaliano and they open daily at 4pm. 7 days a week. With homemade desserts like the NY cheesecake, tiramisu, bread pudding and apizza dolce (Italian ricotta cheesecake) and delicious Cappuccino to finish off your meal, you can't go wrong at Spano's!
