Been there several times and the food is always great, the wait staff is always very professional and courteous. It's a BYOB restaurant which I don't mind. The only problem is that since Spano's is so popular, there's always a wait for a table, which of course is not their fault. And the wait is worth it because the food... More

I visited Spano’s for dinner on New Year’s and could not have been happier! I ordered the lasagna, and could not stop eating until I had finished the entire meal. The sauce is incredible, I’ve never had anything else like it. The team at Spano’s really go out of their way to provide an inviting dining experience. Everyone was incredibly... More

I visited Point Pleasant for New Year's and the party I attended was catered by Spano's. BEST FOOD EVER! The chicken parmesan was literally the center of attention. I also have not been able to stop thinking about the Arancini (fried balls of rice and cheese and heaven). Plus, you haven't had a meatball until you have a SPANO'S MEATBALL!!... More

My wife and I frequent Point Pleasant but usually always dine at the same restaurant. We decided to change it up and try Spano's. Well now Spano's is going to forever be in our dining rotation. We started off with an order of the fried calamari which was hands down the BEST calamari We have ever ate. (We eat calamari... More

My husband and I read the reviews for Spano's on TripAdvisor in prep for our day trip to Point Pleasant, and decided to give it a try. His Lasagna was one of the best he's had. He pointed out the ricotta filling, something other wannabe Italian restaurants seem to have forgotten. I had the Spano Feast and a feast it... More

Xmas Eve, 2016, I went with family for dinner. I had the Rabe Alla Romeo, Broccoli Rabe, Chicken, Sausage, roasted red peppers, and mushrooms in an olive oil sauce over Rigatoni. Excellent meal. As the Germans say in Heidelberg, "Das Essen war koestlich!" The food was delicious!

Quaintly little restaurant. Family owned. Very popular place in downtown Point Pleasant Beach. Plenty of food options and reasonably priced. Bring your own bottle is allowed.

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious meal at our favorite restaurant on Friday night celebrate my wife's birthday. We had the veal Carmella . This was preceded by a bowel of sausage and tortolene soup . As usual everything was delicious and the portions were so large that we had to take the left overs home for a meal... More

This was our fourth or fifth time at Spano's. Even in the off season, Saturday night is always a tough table and if you don't get there early you won't get a table because they won't take reservations. We were there very early, seated promptly and all went well. Service was attentive. We hadn't been there in a while and... More

Spano's Ristorante Italiano is a wonderful little store front restaurant just like you see in Brooklyn, with a quaint interior featuring oversized comfy booths and Italian music to complete the ambiance. The restaurant gets bustling after 6pm, and on weekends there can be quite a wait. The good news is they're open 7 days a week, so you can get the same amazing food on Tuesday without a wait. Speaking of the food, its authentic old world Italian prepared by Chef Joseph Spano. All ingredients are fresh, never frozen...fresh local fish and seafood, the highest quality veal, cut and pounded daily for the Veal dishes, Same with the chicken and eggplant, all prepared fresh daily. Spano's marinara sauce is the original winner of the Boss of the sauce contest sponsored by a local radio station and featuring all of the Shores Italian restaurants, as voted by a panel of judges and the general public. All of our ravioli, cheese filled, lobster, and specialty (like roasted butternut squash, or Osso Bucco) are handmade. They make the dough, they make the filling, and they stuff and cut each ravioli by hand. The portions are oversized, and the prices are very reasonable. They have an extensive menu and use only Certified Angus Beef, many of the dishes can be seen on their Facebook page at spanosristoranteitaliano and they open daily at 4pm. 7 days a week. With homemade desserts like the NY cheesecake, tiramisu, bread pudding and apizza dolce (Italian ricotta cheesecake) and delicious Cappuccino to finish off your meal, you can't go wrong at Spano's!
