Very fresh shrimps, but especially the lobster egg as a starter was very tasty. The special thing about this restaurant is that they don't serve alcohol, but you are allowed to "bring" your own wine. The ambience is nothing special. The service could be a bit nicer, especially when there are a lot of people there, the staff seem very stressed. I found the people who clear away very annoying; as soon as you've eaten something or a plate is empty, it's cleared away immediately. This creates an unnecessary rush.

Unbelievable dishes! Mussels in white sauce divine! Stuffed flounder huge portions! Shellfish and skate in tomato base wonderful! Loved that the mussel dish came with lots of bread to soak up the juices! Service good… if weather permits, sit outside in tent as the dining inside area is small and very noisy when full.

Best seafood eaten for some time

We dropped in with no reservation and were seated immediately, surrounded by happy looking diners who all had amazing fishy dishes in front of them. Started with clam chowder and fried calamari, followed by fish and chips (cod), and lobster in a bread bowl with bisque. All three of us had a wonderful time and considered it to be the best seafood ewe've eaten for a very long time - fresh, flavourful, and delicious. Definitely a high-light of our trip. Just note, it is BYOB.

Wife ordered glass of wine, waitress brings bottle pours wine and leaves bottle. I asked her why she said they sold only bottles $35-I don't drink so we were stuck with it. She never advised that it is a byo, and needed to buy bottle. Ordered $66 dollar lobster dinners and after served advised they ran out of lobster forks, so struggled with dinner fork. Would have been better off at a diner, and waitress was disgrace. I compensated for wind cost by leaving an 8% tip on $180 bill-ket waitress absorb wine cost due to her failing to advise

Gave it another try very disappointed. Not the same. We loved coming here. I will say the lobster nachos however were not lacking lobster but they were ok. Not enough chips and very soggy. Shrimp tocos the shrimp were so hard I think they were over cooked. The tuna bowl had way to much tomatoes then anything else. The burger was ok. Fries oily. Sadly we won’t be back. Waiter was fantastic very nice.

Bad siting organization, bad food

Our first time at this restaurant, major disappointment. When we checked in we were told waiting time was 45 minutes we waited over 1 1/2 hour when we got seated after many complaints. Apparently they like to seat party of 2 and 4 people anything larger than that a major wait (don’t understand why they can combine the tables and accommodate the 6 +). After the long wait food served was terrible staff very nice (that’s for the one star given). Needless to say not worth the wait. No one ate anything, we all left still hungry.

I used to love this restaurant, been there many times in the past years. This was my first time in 2023. My sister and I went on 7/11/23, and everything was perfect, until the food came. We ordered the hot lobster roll and shrimp platter with the fries and coleslaw. First thing I noticed the portion size was smaller for both entrees. Then the fries, that I was craving, were burnt and hard as a rock, inedible. The lobster roll was very different from past experiences, tasteless. I didn't tell our server right away because I was taught never send food back, but I did mention it at the end, apologies, but no compensation. Not impressed at all, very disappointed. Maybe they were having a bad day. BTW, the staff was very nice.

New Jersey Restaurant Week

Found this restaurant on the NJ Restaurant Week (look it up) listing. Got seated right away and had a wonderful meal of crabcakes, scallops, flounder and shrimp. One thing I was not aware of is that it is a byob. They have beverages, but no beer,wine etc. The waitress was friendly and competent. Fresh caught local seafood is also for sale on site. They also have an extensive sushi menu. We will be back.

A Jersey Shore Classic!

We made our first visit on a winter Wednesday at a bit before 6:00 pm - and had to wait for a table. It was well worth the short wait! The unpretentious dining room is plain with rustic wooden tables (see photo) and the seafood fresh. My wife had a steamed lobster. I had the halibut special with shrimp and scallops - a large portion that was just as good the next night.

We split the crab dip appetizer and it was scrumptious. I accidentally ordered the wrong sushi roll and offered to pay for it but still wanted the lobster roll. The server couldn’t have been nicer and spoke to the manager and ended up taking it off the check. The lobster roll was the best I’ve ever had, which is high praise because that’s my go-to for sushi! Glad to be a local so I can have it anytime!

An Amazing Restaurant

This is our goto place when we visit Point Pleasant. The food and service is perfect. We did takeout the last few times we were here and the food is extraordinary. Just about the best sushi I have had, steamed lobster is perfectly done. Even the condiments taste fresh and homemade. Every aspect of the meal is perfect. Just an amazing place, consistent, and a great value. Portions are huge and delicious. The fish market looks amazing as well. Always great!

Belly Clam Platter

I really enjoy whole belly clams but because of the salt in seafood I hold back on eating them. Today I purchased 2 Clam Belly platters which were the worst one’s I’ve ever had. The clams were more like clam strips and very soggy so we’re the French Fries. Very disappointed with the meal. Guess I’ll cross this restaurant off my go to places. It’s hard to find a restaurant that has whole clam bellies, there is one in Keyport (Keyport Fishery) that makes the best Whole Clam Bellies I’ve ever had.

Very nice Fish Dinner in Pt Beach!

My Spouse was disappointed her business trip to Florida was cancelled due to the corona virus, so being the good Husband, I offered to take her to dinner. Since it was a Lenten Friday, it was to be a seafood restaurant, and she heard Atlantic Offshore Fishery was good. I had the expensive ($27.99) Lobster platter, my Wife had the crab meat stuffed flounder, both delicious, as was the clam chowder (Manhattan and New England) we each had. Our server, Amy, was pleasant and competent. Laid back picnic tables, and BYOB.

Went for my Son’s Birthday- been here multiple times- has gone downhill Ordered Lobster Waitress said we ran out of Lobster Forks, really. Order more if you’re going to have Tuesdays is lobster night. Waited 20 minutes for side veggie to come after entree was delivered. Super noisy w Crying toddler next to us, management needs to pay more attention to service.

Wow wow & wow, did I say wow?

This was our first visit to Atlantic Offshore and certainly not our last. Unfortunately, they do not take reservations so we went on a Monday arriving about 6:30 and had about a 45 minute wait. I started with the lobster nachos which sounds weird but is anything but. The dish was loaded with good size chunks of lobster and not overly dressed making the lobster the star of the plate. Can't wait to try their lobster roll the next time. My boyfriend had a cup of New England clam chowder followed by a dz clams on the half shell. Both were delicious although he noted the chowder itself was a little too thin and could have been "chunkier" (i.e. more veggies/clams), but none the less delicious. The nachos dish was so filling, I opted for the smallest main dish that I could find choosing the mahi tacos (2) of which I could only eat one. Each had an unusually large piece of blackened fish and was delicious. My boyfriend choose the fish (cod) and chips (home made). He thought the cod was extremely fresh as you might expect because its fishing boats come in nightly right across from restaurant @ 3am. His only negative comment was the batter could have been better seasoned and came off very flat. He wants to return and have the clam po' boy on our next visit. This is not a fancy place, but rather a fun one and highly recommended.
