I had had lunch downtown at a cheesesteak shop and then went to Hoffman's for dessert. I had read that they made all their ice creams homemade and I wanted to try it for myself. The ice cream here is delicious.
With so much to choose from I chose the Cookie Monster which has Oreo cookies in it and the Strawberry Lemonade which was very refreshing. The ice cream here is excellent with the right amount of butterfat with the use of high quality cream. The flavors are so rich and creamy.
I have to say one thing about Hoffman's, they are very fair with the portion sizes and prices. This is not Manhattan prices! For a small cup, the young woman assisting me with my order gave me to generous scoops of each ice cream in a cup and when I looked at the portion size and asked if this was a small she said and I could not believe how fair the serving size was for the price. This is very good business.
Both flavors were delicious and I ate it outside in the sunshine and enjoyed the ice cream on a hot day. It is what the Jersey shore is all about.

I was impressed with how amazing the service was at Hoffman's Ice Cream. The workers were very accomodation for a tree nut allergy. It can be difficult to get hard ice cream at an ice cream shop with tree nut allergies but the workers went above and beyond. The cleaned the scoopers and opened a new ice cream container so my son could enjoy a safe ice cream treat. I recommend this place to anyone and especially anyone who has a nut allergy. Thank you again for your excellent customer service it was greatly appreciated.

Creamy, delicious, fresh and always hit the spot. The lines always look long, but the astounding number of young people who work the counters in the summer move the lines with a time-honored ease of 20-year veterans. Go, and do not be dismayed by crowds when you first arrive. During any wait, which will be quicker than you imagine, you'll likely see your neighbors, or the people renting the house next door. Coconut Joy is a personal fave, and anything with peanut butter - there are usually 2 or 3.

I have been coming to this spot for my entire life and I literally live on the same street. Don't get me wrong the ice cream is the best in town/all surrounding towns but the staff is truly the worst I have ever dealt with.
I have never left a review before & felt inclined to let the owners know that I genuinely feel uncomfortable coming here lately. The late night staff here should not work here if they refuse to make a milkshake past 9:30 when the place closes at 10pm. To the late night crew - you guys are absolutely miserable and childish. Quit if you're too lazy and annoyed to make a local who's always giving you your business a milkshake despite it being the end of the night. It takes 5 minutes you lazy. Get a grip

The system is good. The key is to go late at night to avoid the lines. The ice cream flavors are still good, although limited compared to summer flavors. You still have solid choices and a big selection. Milkshakes are always reliable. Hot fudge sundaes and cones or cups are great. Sweet tooth craving is always satisfied.

Have been coming here for years, but this year I missed the summer season and didn’t stop in until today. Maybe that was a good thing, because the ice cream was still great, and the line for service was as long as it always is, but —- the place was totally run down, grossly dirty and would never pass a Health Dept. inspection! With such a successful business, how about spending some $$ on renovation or at least some deep steam cleaning? Ugh.

Our friend told us about this Best icecream shop on PPB. So my family and i wanted something to fill the sweet tooth. We decided Hoffmans icecream. Really good creamy goodness.. All flavors. Glad we came. Good price too. Our friends who are sometimes wrong about things, got this one right.

Fresh... homemade and never disappoints. Many varieties of ice cream and holiday specials. My favorite is the old fashioned vanilla sundae with hot fudge. They have great topping. There is no special reason or celebration to to Hoffman’s Ice cream, eat it every day!!

Stopped by for dessert after dinner. Plenty of people outside enjoying the weather and the ice cream. A little bit of a line but it moved quickly. The workers were friendly. Plenty of options for the ice cream (hand dipped) and even toppings. Great place for great ice cream.

after a great lunch, we needed some ice cream and was told there was a Hoffman's in PPB, which was not that far away....Had been to another one of their shops recently , so we knew the ice cream was great.....huge selection , great tasting....only complaint might be the service was a little on the slow side, for the amount of people that were in the shop

My wife, son, daughter and friends and I had ice cream here in July 2019. There was a long line (you had to take a number) but it moved quickly. I had chocolate ice cream and it was very good.
