When my son was an undergad at Princeton, we often came to this restaurant for the excellent lunch buffet -- a very ample, all-you-can-eat affair, with many delicious choices. Highly affordable, a favorite with the students and others.

Let me just say that every time I get take out from here, it is absolutely delicious. Chen tikka masala is absolutely amazing. However, they always manage to send us our food with one or two items missing, which, since we have a lot of people eating, can be frustrating. Overall, great place, great food, check your take out bag... More

The buffet is economical, a few of the staff are good at what they do. It's a dive, the floor is sticky, the bathroom needs a good cleaning. Good for a cheap, tasty meal in princeton.

Visiting Princeton for a week and been there twice in 3 days already... Aloo Tikki Chaat and Malai Kofta are highly recommended.

This was my first visit. It is on a side street in Princeton. Entrance and restaurant could use a makeover!! We were seated immediately and the place was packed with all ages. BYOB. We had the mixed appetizer, lamb, chicken and shrimp tikka and the lamb curry. Also the garlic Nan. Everything was delicious, need to use the sauces. Service is... More

I was really disappointed by the food at Masala Grill. The few curries on offer were runny and lacking in flavor however I did enjoy the appetizers and side dishes. Overall the lunch buffet reminded me of school lunches and seemed quite expensive for the quality of food on offer.

I've eaten here several times, the food is OK. However, servers do not get any gratuity. They are paid $8 an hour but any tips added to the bill goes to the house not to your server.

The $10.99 lunch buffet was really so-so. A few fried appetizers and kale salad. Eight choices of hot dishes (incuding white rice an another rice dish), and two choices for dessert. One could get many more choices at one of the many Indian buffets in Edison. Food tasted like they have added MSG, as I got very thirsty the entire... More

Masala Grill is usually a must-go whenever I'm in town with friends at Princeton. It's right downtown, within walking distance of nearly everything, including campus and local hotels. Most of my friends are not vegetarian, and they all love the grill items, as well as the rich curries. My favorite dishes include the Matar Paneer and the spicy mixed vegetables.... More
