We were here for a family dinner (6 adults, 2 children). All dinners were well received. The chicken breast sandwich was soo big and very tasty. Another dish was the fried shrimp, then the skewered shrimp - both nice. Our little ones enjoyed the children's' platters. Our server was able to help us and was very friendly.

The Anchorage is bustling place all year around. Terrific bar food is the hallmark of this historic Tavern by the bay over the bridge from Ocean City. The service was excellent during our last visit. I loved my seafood pasta dish, a special that evening.

This place is like a really good diner disguised as a sports bar. The bar area is very large with a lot of TV's tuned to Philly Sports. A separate dining room has quieter seating for a good sit down dinner

Quiet night, stopped in after an early movie. Sat in the tavern, great service and as always an ice cold beer. Start with oyster shooters and a great steak. Good fries and good size portions. Always a go to place in the off season and able to park in their lot.

Its owners brag about the "world-famous" Anchorage; their shirts even mention it. And the folks who've lived around Ocean City forever will sing its praises. For us, that was good enough. We went to dinner last night at their recommendation. This morning, another local who's been there a number of times said the Anchorage provides "a cut above bar food."... More
