The Inn, including the dining rooms and bar, is historical and has a nice atmosphere, but the food is mediocre at best and overpriced. The service is poor to average and even when we were the only ones in the dining room for an early lunch they were out of menu selections. I would stick to drinks at the bar... More

Slow to be seated (though the restaurant was hardly occupied and it was a Saturday night). Service was then slow as well (the hostess was doubling as a waitress that night, which one would not expect here). Food was expensive and really not good. My burger was okay (but overdone) and my husband hated his lamb bolognese (lots of stupid... More

You get little for a lot of money . Many items were out ,even at 5:00pm ,when dinner service began. No bread Relatively small portions ,but large bills . This is not the old Stockton Inn and I would not return . I happen to like value for my money!

My husband and I go frequently. The food is excellent, the atmosphere warm, cosy and friendly. It is a great place for family events but also for just couples.

Food was good but not worth the price. 2 - two scallops app $16. Just barely sea scallops. I worked in nice restaurants for years and never saw an app with 2 scallops for 16. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We stopped in for a cocktail during happy hour. The crowd was really friendly and welcoming, so we ended up staying for a burger. We both loved our food. Frances, the barkeeper, made our visit perfect. She was professional, friendly and boy could she make a drink! We will definitely be back when visiting the area. Thanks to the local... More

I have heard a lot about this unique restaurant from 1710. The location is great and has parking. We went there on Wednesday evening and there was service only in and around the bar. The restaurant was empty. All of us ordered the 1710 burger. All our orders were mixed up. For those of us who wanted the burger cooked... More

This restaurant is reasonably priced. It is located in a historic beautiful old stone inn with cozy fireplaces and a warm, friendly staff who couldn't be more helpful. You really feel like you are stepping back in time in parts of the restaurant. Alive with happy customers enjoying themselves.

We go to the Stockton Inn very often, as we live less than two miles from Stockton. Last Sunday they had several new items on the menu. Incredibly tender octopus in chocolate mole sauce with braise onions and avocado, grilled romaine Caesar salad, lamb ragu' cavatelli perfectly al dente and for dessert an inventive and light new interpretation of the... Established in 1710, this is the inn that was immortalized by Richard Rodgers in the song "There's a small hotel with a wishing well" sung in the Broadway play On Your Toes. The inn was first built as a private residence and is believed to have been converted in 1832. Come and explore the over 300 year old Stockton Inn, nestled in the quaint borough of Stockton, New Jersey. Romantic dining is served in the exquisite mural rooms with fireside seating during the colder months. In the warmest months of the year, savor your meal and your surroundings while dining on the patio alongside two waterfalls and beautifully integrated gardens.
