We have eaten at Nonna’s Place a lot lately. They NEVER disappoint. From their piccata, to eggplant and especially their zuppa . The focaccia served with the bread is also out of this world. Lately we have been ordering the Sicilian pizza. I feel like I’m back in NY. The service is terrific too! Whether you are in the neighborhood or want to take a drive, Nonna’s Place definitely be the place to go to again and again. See you soon, Angelo and Johanna

Hello,
My father and I went to this place and the atmosphere was so calm and I felt happy with my meal and very excellent service! Ask them to have bread on the side if preferred. They have bbq sauce and the staff treats you like family. Also I saw a lost pet post on the entrance door, please post a pic of the lost pet poster on social media to help the pet find its owner please.

The food is very good. I particularly loved the accompanying side dishes, roasted potatoes and vegetables in olive oil. Very tasty! Comfortable environment and friendly staff. Will definitely return!.

Pizza here is good and sandwiches were terrific, but for some reason they went to a soft style bread, mushy. If they go back to the original bread, I would definitely recommend.

This place is the real deal for authentic Italian food. The family who owns it is from Italy, using their own family recipes for many of the dishes offered. I had the BEST canolis ever at Joey's! Of course you can just stop in for pizza, which is also great! It's become a landmark here in Whiting for good Italian food & homestyle atmosphere.

We have been going to Joey's for years and were very pleased. Since the name change the food is still great. But the service at Nonnas is very slow. We are hopeful the service will get better. If not we will have to go elsewhere.

Came up to visit my mom. Instead of eating in and cleaning up afterwards, we went to Joeys Pizza (now under a different name Nonnas). We ate a combination pizza in the dining room. My mom was happy not to clean her kitchen afterwards. The pizza crust is light and airy and amazing.

We're visiting Whiting for a sad reason--a death in the family--but couldn't have found a more welcoming place for dinner.
And we knew, when we saw people leaving laden down with leftover bags, that this wouldn't just be dinner, but lunch and dinner the next day, too!
When you step in the door, it's all pizzeria, but just pass through the curtain on your right, into the family dining room.
When we arrived there was a party of at least 16 having a family gathering. It set the perfect homey tone. The owner's wife apologized for our wait, but it was worth it.
A huge bread basket also had pizza strips. Fresh salad and homemade soup. My egg-battered shrimp Francese were perfectly cooked, as were the broccoli and potatoes I ordered. Bill had eggplant stuffed with tasty ham, and pasta. Lots of leftovers!

This is a BYOB type of place. One side of it is a Pizza Shop and the other side is a cozy mom and pop type of place. During warmer months you can also eat outside. Food is great, sauce is great, pizza is great, and totally bountiful. You won't regret coming here!!!!

Went there to get a pizza and asked for sauce on only half. Was told that was too hard to do, it was either all sauce or no sauce. Well, having been given that option I opted for NO PIZZA!

I called to place an order for pick up I had the absolute worst service Isabella that said he was the manager was so rude actually yelling at me in the phone because I did not hear him ask me to hold on. I had to hang up just to have him stop yelling NEVER will I ever dine here again...terrible customer service

I went here with the kids hungry for pizza. We walked in and saw empty tables and I thought we could order a pie at the counter and take a seat. But we couldn't. We had to go into the restaurant portion, wait for a server, order drinks, then order the pizza pie. Then get checked on, then be asked what else we are having, then ask for the check. Where I am from in central Jersey you find a pizza joint, order a pie, eat it, pay at the counter, go home. Zip zip zip. We his came back from the lake and wanted to grab some slices. We did not want a restaurant experience. The pizza was good but having to go thru the restaurant procedure when I am used to just walk in order a pie sit down eat it pay at counter and go was frustrating.
