Local Pub Vibe. Early October visit. While many restaurants are closed for the season, Crest is open. We visited twice for dinners, about 5:00. No problem, got seated immediately. No outside or patio seating available, go right in to bar area. Bar seating and booth...seating. You are coming here for the food and drinks. First dinner- steak sandwich- super good-we are from Philly, so we know. Good roll, fresh, good portion of steak meat. Good nicely spiced chowder. Check out daily specials. I had the Shrimp Italiano- pasta, plenty of shrimp in a light broth. Fresh shucked clams, craft beer. So good, we came back a second time. Joe the server good prompt service, all meals hot. Cheeseburger, fried shrimp platter, oysters, soup for the second meal. Very good prices. Check it out,More

We had to wait just under a half hour on a Thursday night. Crest Tavern is small, and has been serving locals and tourists for years. My wife and I each started with a very generous pour of drinkable wine. I had the hot roast...beef sandwich, served with a side of fries. The sandwich was on a fresh hard roll, and was very tasty. The fries were good. I finished the second half of the sandwich for my lunch the next day. My wife had the pork Florentine sandwich, which was also enormous. She also finished hers the next day. I will say the cheese was pretty smelly (but I think that was normal). For a beach resort, prices were very good. Our dinners, with wine, tax and tip ran us under $45. Considering the quantity and quality of the food, we'll definitely come back when we visit Wildwood Crest again.More

We saw the crowd but added our name to the long waiting list and was told it was going to be 1 hr & 1/2 before getting seated. Must be worth it so we went out and came back when our time was near. One...of the specials was a Chicken Pot Pie and that is what I had and very worth the wait. It was piping hot and full of veggies and chicken topped off with a pastry crust on top. The staff was so friendly and would gladly do anything for you to make your meal perfect. I would go there again but earlier to not have to wait so long for dinner.More

We had an out standing meal. We started with the fried calamari and margarita shrimp. Both were outstanding. The calamari was the best I’ve had. A worker told me the cut it and process it fresh. It shows. We had some great meals. I had...the French dip sliced pork sandwich. My wife had the tostadas and our friends had the special burgers. Everyone was pleased. The craft beer eer menu was acceptable but not extensive.More

This place is consistently good. Food is typical bar food but it’s really good. Beer is cold. Atmosphere is quaint. It’s a small bar. So like 8 booths. A decent size bar and outdoor seating. Go on off times if you don’t want to wait...Prob some of the better food in the WW areas They def have one of the best cheesesteaks aroundMore

The Crest tavern is a gem. Family owned working very hard to recover from covid restrictions. Food seems better than ever! There’s a reason that there are so many repeat customers. Added outdoor seating. While almost all nearby restaurants have raised their prices out of...reach and excessive, Crest Tavern is very reasonable. It could raise prices 15% and it would still be underpriced for the quality and quantity. The menu has something for everyone- seafood and burger lovers as well as great sandwiches. All menu items are available for takeout but I’m not sure of the oysters and clams on half shell.More

This local tavern never disappoints for good beer, burgers and more. We have come here several times on vacations and the staff is always nice, place is easy to get a table and prices are reasonable.

We came down for Father's Day weekend. We went to the Crest Tavern for dinner, had about a 30 minute wait but the mussels were worth it. My son had chicken fingers that were huge. Can't wait to go back in August.
