A great restaurant right on the edge of Houtbay just before Chapman’s Peak. Friendly service with delicious food. I can recommend their specialty dish, fried calamari with chips!!! Out of this world. Enjoy the food and the views.

Despite some reviews claiming standards have dropped and prices have risen, we have nothing but praise after our late lunch in March 2018. It's obviously famed for its calamari dishes - and with good reason. Without doubt it's the most tasty and succulent I've ever...More

We returned to this spot after a disappointing last visit. Happy to report its back to its best and the sunset didn’t disappoint either. We’ve made two visits this trip.

Over hyped and over priced with a whiff of elitism. Better food and sunset views elsewhere with better prices to boot

Perfect spot for dinner or a drink on the terrace, watching the sun set across the bay. The hotel restaurant is famous for its succulent calamari

I would say not before 10:30 pm the earliest especially since the sun only sets around 8:30pm in Cape Town at the moment.

Hi, it's probably online but to my mind it is medium price range with seafood, steak and Portuguese specialities. Hope you enjoy.

Description
The restaurant is a local institution, renowned worldwide for the best Calamari in Cape Town, with a popular sun-drenched terrace overlooking the bay and mountains. Calamari at the Chapmans Peak was voted as "one of top 20 things to do in Cape Town".It’s the ideal location for those lingering sunsets and balmy evenings. A sun-drenched verandah boasting spectacular views of the bay offers an alternative eating venue for those wishing to dine Al fresco. And in those winter months, it’s one of few places in the Cape with fireplaces (dating back 100yrs)
