Nice meal. Very busy but the service was good. Got a table outside - the owner from the guest house booked for us as we weren't able to book from the UK!

Do yourself a favor and go here for a meal. Great service, friendly, excellent food, cold beers, good wines, super value. Seafood is top shelf and the view from the veranda is pretty good. Great spot for lunch.

Stooped here after a day trip out as we had heard so much about the Portuguese steak and calamari. It was fabulous. Calamari so tender and tasty. Not expensive with good service.

Great spot for lunch. Relaxed atmosphere, family friendly restaurant with an open terrace outside. The menu is seafood orientated, what is perfect for it's setting. The calamari is to die for!

we ate in many good places in South Africa but this place probably stands out. It is dearer than other places (yet still not expensive) but it is certainly worth it. I remember the calamari, which were absolutely amazing. Arrived without a booking during the Xmas holidays. Although it was busy we got a table on the veranda. Quick service.... More

The restaurant is a local institution, renowned worldwide for the best Calamari in Cape Town, with a popular sun-drenched terrace overlooking the bay and mountains. Calamari at the Chapmans Peak was voted as "one of top 20 things to do in Cape Town".It’s the ideal location for those lingering sunsets and balmy evenings. A sun-drenched verandah boasting spectacular views of the bay offers an alternative eating venue for those wishing to dine Al fresco. And in those winter months, it’s one of few places in the Cape with fireplaces (dating back 100yrs)
