A dark, dingy, cluttered spot off an alley with pie that tasted like rancid fat and watery coffee, slow service. The person in charge could not have been nicer or more gracious, but don't go with visions of sugar plums dancing in your head. To be fair, the friend we went with was more forgiving of the inferior food, as... More

Home cooking at it's best. Stopped for breakfast after spending the night in town on our way further west. Great southern cooking, exceptionally excellent pies, terrific owners.

We had a wonderful dining experience in Deming, NM. What a delight to meet the owners. They were welcoming and it felt like we had been invited into their home for a meal. The brisket sandwich was tender and the BBQ sauce was amazing. The real treat was the Millionaire Pie. I've never tasted anything like it. Thank you to... More

Traveling from Phoenix to Ft Worth, we were looking for a place to eat in and around Deming NM. We found Elisa House of Pies and decided to stop. The restaurant is located in a 100+ yr old building and the owners couldn't have been friendlier and the food was great. I had settled on the homemade meatloaf until I... More

Deming was a stopover between destinations on our recent trip. We were tired of the dinner fare at the usual national chain restaurants and looked for some local offerings. Elisa's looked interesting when we Googled it, but we had trouble finding it with the navigation system in the car. The address is a locked door with a note taped on... More

This is not your run of the mill franchise, which makes it worth the stopping for. The atmosphere is quaint. The owners are very personable and hands on. The food is quite good. I had the fried chicken, the skin was crisp, not greasy. Collard greens had a wonderful flavor, good color and still had a nice crisp bite to... More

Though I have had their soul food before which was tasty, I usually always stop for pie. The friendly owners always have a great selection of pies by slice or whole ranging from standard favorites to the more unique and almost forgotten old recipes. So far every pie had been absolutely delicious!

Having just had lunch we had just one piece of pie at Elisa's. The Millionaire's pie was delicious. Elisa's may be hard to find. It is right off the Wells Fargo Bank parking lot.

Restaurant is accessed through an alley behind the Wells Fargo bank. The food is good, but quite overpriced. Went there specifically for pie, but was disappointed with the lack of quality and the high price. I understand this restaurant has been open for several years. I don't know how they stay in business - with their very inconvenient location and... More
