The outside of the building has huge signage advertising " 40 day dry-aged steaks". This rarity drew us in. The menu boasts wet-aged steaks. There were no dry-aged steaks available. We ordered the regular filet mignons--mine a 6 ounce and his an 8 ounce, both...More

There are three things I really enjoyed about Badlands: their extensive and diverse menu; their super-friendly wait-staff; and their really outstanding steaks. The night we visited we weren’t all that hungry. After we saw the menu and waded into dinner with cheese sticks appetizers, we...More

The Badlands was quiet on the night we went there and that was no surprise. While the steaks were good, they were not great and certainly not worth what they cost. The salads had been premade and sat on the glass plate, limp, bitter and...More

We debated on whether to go here or Jerrys and we ended up at Badlands. The restaurant is dark but casual. The food was significantly overpriced (~$30-$35 per plate) for the quality. The average wine was also overpriced at $12 per glass. Service was good...More

Small restaurant but packed with locals because of the great wet-aged beef and well prepared dishes. Extensive wine list. Our steaks were perfectly done and tender. The berry and vanilla creme tart for dessert surprisingly excellent.

Please compare my review to the others - it could be I caught them on an "off night". I ordered the fried shrimp - menu stated "enormous"; actually just average size. The shrimp and salad and mashed potatoes were good but nothing special. The food...More

This was the only steakhouse that we ate at during our vacation in NM and AZ. Sometimes a steak, baked potato, and salad really hits the spot. Badlands cooked our steaks perfectly! It was a delicious meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our steak, potato, salad, and...More

We stopped here because we were looking for steaks and the ratings were good; we were not disappointed. Steaks were very good, generously sized, and properly cooked. Lots of fried onions on top was a nice touch. The place was a bit dark inside because...More

Had a group of 10. Service was prompt, friendly and good. Lots of different food items were ordered, including appetizers and desserts. Everyone was pleased with their choices. Pomegrante margarita was especially good! Décor was western themed.

While traveling through New Mexico I promised my friend a steak dinner. The desk clerk at the hotel suggested Badlands Grill so off we went. The atmosphere was interesting with a western flair. My friend said the steak was juicy and tender, the most tender...More

Description
Not a chain, Badlands offers true New Mexico hospitality and taste- for those of you traveling through, it's the place where locals go when they want a meal that's truly a cut above the rest, and relax with friends and neighbors. There's no dress code...no pretentiousness...just beef that's been wet-aged for 21 days, cut in-house and cooked to order...combine these with an ice cold beer or excellent bottle of wine... and you've got the stuff a cattleman's dreams are made of!
