We really enjoyed the food for lunch and the people were very nice. This area and store has a lot of history to it and the area. A must stop to anyone in the area.

A step back in time. An old fashioned cafe (mid 1800's) where you have to share your table with strangers sometimes. There's only 7 tables. With a cook and waitress in my age group. (70's) My wife and I both ordered eggs with bacon potatoes and wheat bread. Bacon had great taste. Potatoes were freshly sliced american style, and all... More

West of I-25, off the beaten path, unless you're headed for Gila National Forest, or on to Silver City. Worth a stop for good food and interesting history. Burger platters are good, and pie and coffee is a treat too. Hillsboro is a cute but tiny town with friendly people. Some Saturdays you may hear the local bluegrass musicians jamming... More

Very cool digs entering the Gila Mountains. Down home vibe with a funky, fun decor. A few nice shops and galleries around too. A must stop location between, T or C, Las Cruces and Silver City.

We each ordered burgers, I ordered the smaller one $6, husband ordered the bigger one with bacon and other items on it. Mine was good, not the best. His was just OK. His came with chips, but we chose to order one order of fries $2.50, and not many at all. You add your own condiments. Not worth the money... More

If you are passing through beautiful Hillsboro, NM, plan to have lunch or breakfast at the cafe. The food is excellent; the service is wonderful and the staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Prices are more than reasonable. Great fun looking at all of the memorabilia on the walls. I confess I had low expectations. The menus has plenty of diner-style choices to please everyone. I ordered the burrito supremo, steak and potato, with red and green sauce, rice and beans. The burrito was very, very good, and the beans were AMAZING. Best beans I have ever had! Friendly service, and a space jammed with displays of all sorts... More
