The Hollar offers typical New Mexican food at a fairly reasonable price. It's one of several cool places to eat in town, and always worth a visit.

Had a quick lunch time meal. The menu is large and diverse, the cost was ok (maybe a little high for NM) and the service and ambience were both very good. Worth the stop.

Madrid is lucky to have this destination spot. Food fresh and local. Great people watching with lots of canines and friendly motorcycle crowd. Try the green tomato caprese.

I do not mind paying for water as I live in another desert area but the resturants here at least let us know if they charge for water or refills when or before we order. Most have it posted in a place everyone can see or on... More

I would call the restaurant directly and ask that question. I have no idea if they do whole cakes or the charge for that.
