The Mineshaft Tavernn is something you need to see if you are traveling on Highway 14 through Madrid, New Mexico. The service is excellent, the beer is cold and on tap, and the food is great. Try the Fried hatch green chili, it’s delicious!

Took the Turquoise Trail between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Stopped for lunch in Madrid. Ok meal and good service but the real fun was people watching the boomer bikers and hippies. How terrific that folks can take a dead mining town and turn it into...More

100+ years old bar. It is something you have to at least try it once. Food is pretty good and reasonably priced.
